WoW Classic TBC phase 4 gave players all the time they needed to catch up in time for the grand finale, Phase 5, and to take on the ultimate raid of the expansion, Sunwell Plateau.
Here's everything we know so far about the WoW Classic TBC Phase Schedule and how things should play out leading up to WoW Classic WotLK.
LATEST - WoW Classic WotLK Pre Patch Release Date Predictions
While Blizzard has yet to give a firm release date or timeline for WoW Classic WotLK or its pre patch other than it arriving by the end of 2022.
We have, however, gotten somewhat of a launch schedule. This comes in the form of a blue post that listed the steps Blizzard would take before the arrival of the pre patch, along with the window of "the next few months".
These steps include:
- PvE to PvP transfer restrictions removed*
- Wrath Classic closed beta test
- Classic Era clone service retired
- Existing realms consolidated**
- New Fresh Start Realms with Wrath Classic pre-patch
- Wrath of the Lich King launch
With this, we expect the WoW Classic WotLK pre patch to go live in late July to early August. For more information on the WotLK Classic pre-patch, visit here.
WoW Classic TBC Phase 5 is LIVE
The final phase of WoW Classic TBC, Phase 5, is finally live!
This phase introduces the iconic Sunwell Plateau raid, Quel'Danas zone, and Magisters' Terrace dungeon.
As the last WoW Classic TBC phase, the next new update will be the WoW Classic WotLK prepatch, which will give players a chance to enjoy what's coming in the next expansion.
Zul'Aman is LIVE!
WoW TBC's newest raid, Zul'Aman is set to go live soon at 6 pm EST.
As one of the main features in WoW TBC Phase 4, Zul'Aman the raid is mostly treated as a catchup raid between the Battle for Mount Hyjal/Black Temple and Sunwell Plateau raids. Additionally, it offers a few fantastic gear pieces for some classes, and moreover, rewards the highly coveted Armani Battle Bear mount.
WoW Classic TBC Phase Schedule & Content
Here's what we know so far about the WoW Classic TBC phase schedule:
Phase 1
Phase 1 included Karazhan (10 man), Gruul's Lair (25 man), and Magtheridon's Lair (25 man) for raids, as well as 8 dungeons.
The phase was a great start and came to a close on September 15th with the release of Phase 2.

Phase 2
Phase 2 introduced Serpent Shrine Cavern (25 man) and Tempest Keep (25 man) as well as the Arena Season 2.
Phase 2 began on September 15th and will run until January 27th.
Phase 3
Phase 3 will include the Battle for Mount Hyjal (25 man) and Black Temple (25 man) raids and Arena Season 3, bringing some great action for raiders and PVPers alike.
This phase will start on January 27th and we expect it will run to April 15th.

Phase 4
Phase 4 will include Zul'Aman (10 man), and allow players with less time to play to catch up. Unfortunately, this phase won't include a new Arena Season per Blizzard's comments so far.
Phase 4 began on March 22nd and ran to May 10th.
Phase 5
Phase 5 will include Quel'Danas (zone), Magister's Terrace (5 man), and Sunwell Plateau (25 man).
This massive final phase began on May 10th, and will run until WoW Classic Wrath of the Lich King's prepatch, then the full-scale launch of the next expansion in line.
Based on the current trajectory, we expect the Classic WotLK prepatch to begin in early October.
