Will Uncharted 5 be at the next PlayStation State of Play?

Given Summer Game Fest and the Xbox and Bethesda showcase are on the way next week, it seems likely we will see a PlayStation State of Play soon. Though less likely, we're hoping to see some news on the next Uncharted game. Here's what we know about it so far.

Will Uncharted 5 be at the next PlayStation State of Play?

The last major Uncharted game we saw was Uncharted 4 way back in 2016. Since then, one standalone DLC and a collection has come out but the gaming franchise has laid relatively dormant. This being said, the recent movie proves that Sony isn't yet done with it.

Just this year, a primary recruiter for Naughty Dog said that they are searching for more talent, stating:

"It's even more special being able to be building future teams for not only new titles but for the legacy of Uncharted which is very personal and specific to me and my family."

We know that something new is happening in the universe but we don't have official confirmation just yet. It seems likely that we will see some more news on this very soon.

They could always wait to announce anything, as Sony tend to have a pretty quick production time, often showing off new games mere months before launch. If any more news comes out, we will update you all about it right here.

When is the next PlayStation State of Play?

Although we don't have an official confirmation, in their show, Mike Minotti and Jeff Grubb were talking and Jeff Grubb suggested that he had heard a new Stae of Play was planned. He said:

"I'm also hearing from multiple people that Sony will actually have a show the first week of June. I can't confirm that but I'm hearing from a bunch of different people but maybe that's just scuttlebutt."
