Deathloop is nearly upon us with release due next month. It's shaping up to be a unique and ambitious adventure from the minds behind Prey and the Dishonored series. With a lot of hype, and a few delays, you might be wondering "When Does Deathloop Come Out?"
Luckily, unlike some of the other parts of the game, this is an easy answer to solve.
Coming out in mere months, this is everything you need to know about the launch of Deathloop later on this year.
LATEST - In-depth gameplay previews available
Deathloop is finally in the hands of some and gameplay videos are freely available to watch online. In a surprise to many, the game is a lot more like Arkane's Dishonored games than previously believed.
It's by no means a bad thing but those who were expecting something more unique may find themselves disappointed.
What is Deathloop?
Deathloop is a first-person shooter in line with Arkane's previous works. By that, I mean it has a big world, filled with intricate systems and puzzles to explore.
In this, you play the role of Colt, an assassin trying to take down targets and escape the island of Blackreef. At the end of every night, the land resets, setting Colt in a unique time loop. The residents of the island forget the events of each day but Colt doesn't. He has to take out all eight targets before the next day. The twist is one of those targets is a multiplayer opponent, giving a unique spin on each run.
Release Date
After a handful of significant delays, we can finally expect to see Deathloop release on September 14th, this year. This means the game is mere months away from its release!
Of course, there's always a chance we will see more delays to Deathloop as it does appear to be a pretty intricate game. Luckily, we're pretty far into its development now so that spells good things for its release. It will likely go gold over the next months, a sign that the game is finished and ready for launch. Until this point, we can't bank on it releasing just yet.
