Highly anticipated PS5 game delayed until September

It has been confirmed that E3 will be returning in 2021, but that hasn't encouraged developers to keep their cards close to their chest until then because the news keeps on coming.

Here is all of the latest PS5 news including a new game announcement, as well as the delay of a highly anticipated title.

Latest - The Last Of Us Remake Is In Development

According to a Bloomberg report, a team of 30 developers secretly began work on a remake of the smash-hit The Last Of Us.

It is being reported that the remake began with a team of 30 developers secretly developing the game without any backing from Sony before they stepped in and gave the project to Naughty Dog.

With the HBO adaptation of The Last Of Us in development, releasing a PS5 remake could be a smart move as many people who will watch it won't have any experience with the series so seeing a brand new game available could encourage those viewers to try the game.

As of right now, there is no official confirmation of its existence by Sony so no release date is known.

But we do know that the game is planned to release exclusively on the PlayStation 5.

Deathloop Delayed

Deathloop was originally due to be released in May 2021, but now it has been announced that the game will be delayed until September.

The developers made the announcement on Twitter saying,

"We've made the decision to delay the launch of Deathloop until September 14th, 2021.

We're committed to quality and preserving our team's ambitions for Deathloop while ensuring the health and safety of everyone at Arkane.

We'll be using this time to accomplish our goal: create a fun, stylish, and mind-bending player experience.

We apologize for the extended wait and thank you all for your passion and excitement.

It is the fuel that powers our creativity and hard work.

We can't wait to show you more Deathloop soon."

New First-Person Horror Coming This Year

A brand new cinematic first-person horror game has been revealed and is due to release on PlayStation later this year.

In a blog post, Abandoned was officially announced and we got some details on what to expect from the new game.

"Abandoned is a cinematic, first-person horror survival shooter set in a highly detailed open world environment and favours a realistic approach to survival

Every event has an influence on your character. If Jason is out of breath after sprinting (or is afraid), his firing accuracy will suffer. Unlike action shooter titles, firing weapons in Abandoned will be really slow. You will need to be tactical in order to survive.

We wanted to emphasise realism through user immersion. This would not be possible without the DualSense wireless controller. Players will feel each and every interaction during gameplay – such as being struck by a bullet. Pulling the trigger on a loaded or unloaded gun will feel different. Equally 3D audio will help shape your decisions and tactics, using the accurate positioning of gunshots out in the wilds to help decide your next move."

It was also revealed that the game will be running at native 4K and at 60fps.

As of right now, we don't know much more about the game, except that it is due to release in Q4 2021
