Uncharted games always look good, but the Legacy of Thieves Collection is about to make the two-latest Uncharted titles look a whole lot better. Naughty Dog's next-gen releases for Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is going to be worth checking out. Here's the latest on what release date we're looking forward to and what you need to upgrade to the Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection.
When does Uncharted come out on PS5?
If you're thinking of a reason to jump back into the world of Uncharted, this might be it. Uncharted's native PS5 release has been a long time coming and we're so glad to see it so close. The Legacy of Thieves Collection is a bundle that combines Naughty Dog's two most-recent Uncharted games - Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy - into one release on the next generation of consoles. It's going to be available on January 28th, 2022.
Interestingly, if you own either Uncharted 4: A Thief's End or Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, you will be eligible for the discounted upgrade price of $10 (Which should be around £7.99 for UK players). We've certainly seen worse deals out there!
This, theoretically, means you can get your hands on both games for a fraction of the price. Uncharted 4 isn't too expensive nowadays and you can pick that up and then get both games on the PS5 for the cheaper upgrade price. If that sounds like a hassle, you can always fork out £44.99 for both games at full price. Digital access to these titles - if you picked them up on the PS Store - is expected to unlock at 00:00 GMT on January 28th.
The stories might be the same, but the upgrade is going to introduce a series of next-gen upgrades that should make these worth playing again if you can afford it. DualSense support is coming alongside faster loading times and three graphics modes. These are:
- Fidelity Mode - native 4K at 30 FPS
- Performance Mode - upscaled 4K at 60 FPS
- Performance Plus Mode - 1080p at 120 FPS
You will need a display that supports 120 FPS to make the most of this mode, but smooth 60FPS isn't a bad thing to have at all. At the moment, Uncharted's multiplayer mode is not included in the Legacy of Thieves Collection - this is a single-player only experience.
