RealSport101 FIFA Advent Calendar - Day 7

As the excitement for Christmas builds with every passing sleep, we're looking back at some of our favourite cards from previous FIFA titles as part of our advent calendar series.

The player behind door number 7 is one of recent FIFA history who represented everything you'd want from an attacker in Ultimate Team.

RealSport101 Advent Calendar - Day 7

We're continuing the Ultimate Team throwback series with a somewhat underrated player that was one of the most enjoyable forwards to use in FUT.

Pace, agility, skills and clinical finishing - this guy had absolutely everything.

RTTF Riyad Mahrez - FIFA 22

Manchester City star Riyad Mahrez had an incredible UEFA Champions League Road to the Final (RTTF) item that reached 94 OVR in FUT 22.

The Algerian's five-star skill moves were key in allowing you to create space in more creative ways and using the overpowered scoop turn in open play.

What really stood out though, was Mahrez's unbelievable dribbling and agility, which can only be likened to that of Lionel Messi or Neymar Jr.

LIKE GLUE - Mahrez's close control is second to none

Above all, Riyad Mahrez's RTTF item was a goal-scoring machine.

The winger managed to net 113 goals in just 92 matches for my personal FIFA 22 Ultimate Team club, playing in the right-attacking-midfield position.

The 31-year-old's four-star weak foot felt like a five-star in-game, being so accomplished on his right foot when finishing, meaning you could shift the ball onto either side and get your shot away with confidence.

Magical Mahrez

Born in France, Riyad Mahrez signed for Leicester back in 2013 and helped them win promotion to the Premier League by the end of his first season.

After finishing the 2014/15 season strongly to fight off relegation, Leicester won the title comfortably despite starting the season as 5000-1 outsiders.

The Algerian magician was the Foxes' star man.

BIG GAME PLAYER - Mahrez has scored crucial goals in knockout matches

The talented winger then made the switch to Manchester City in the summer of 2018, winning the Premier League, FA Cup and EFL Cup in his first season.

Mahrez has also had his fair share of international success, making his international debut for Algeria in 2014, representing them at the 2014 FIFA World Cup and at the Africa Cup of Nations in 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2021, winning the 2019 tournament.
