Throughout December, we will be taking a look back at some of our favourite players from previous FIFA games.
Our advent calendar series won't just provide a sense of great nostalgia for us, but it should also unlock your memories for some of the best OP stars FIFA has ever seen.
RealSport101 Advent Calendar - Day 5
This Ultimate Team throwback player is one that will live long in the memory of many FIFA fans, harkening back to simpler times, when silver cards were overpowered and usable.
He is known as one of the most devastating silver players ever to feature in the game and he has a killer hairstyle to match that prestigious personal record.
Stephan El Shaarawy - FIFA 12
This man needs no introduction, especially to those that enjoyed the bliss of using this man.
It's hard to believe that this card is ten years old, especially when you consider just how overpowered this man was.
El Shaarawy was the crown jewel of the overpowered silver card in FIFA 12, with this 5* skiller making the very best defenders look totally average.
On the face of it, this card is far from spectacular, but in-game it was deadly, with the 4-1-2-1-2 making this card even more deadly.
El Shaarawy's card was emerging alongside the YouTube hype, making this man's impact two-fold.
Not only was he an emerging star in easier times, but he was also genuinely one of the very best Ultimate Team cards we've ever used.
What happened to Stephan El Shaarawy?
Italian forward El Shaarawy has had quite the career and in truth never really lived up to the hype.
Capped 29 times for his country, the Genoa prospect has dotted from country to country, moving from AC Milan in Italy, Monaco in France and even Shanghai Shenhua in China.
Nowadays, aged 30, El Shaarawy plays his football under Jose Mourinho at Roma, where he's attempting to lift the capital club back to the top of Italian football.
He may never have emerged as the superstar that shone so bright in FIFA 12, but the Italian has certainly had a strong career which will see him remembered for many years.
