The next PS Plus announcement from PlayStation has finally arrived and we have everything you need to know about what you are getting below.
Predictions are always tough and we've missed the mark a little this month, but who cares because there are some great games on offer for all to enjoy.
LATEST - PS Plus September Games Revealed
Hitman 2, Predator: Hunting Grounds and Overcooked All You Can Eat are the PS Plus games for September 2021.
These are the same titles that were leaked towards the end of last week, continuing Sony's bad luck streak of keeping things under wraps.
PS Plus reveal time confirmed
PlayStation's next PS Plus announcement is on the way and - provided nothing drastic happens in the next handful of hours - we should find out what September 2021's PS Plus line-up has on offer from the following times on September 1st:
- 08:30 PST
- 11:30 EST
- 16:30 BST
The information is always uploaded to PlayStation's social media channels first - alongside a PlayStation Blog post - so it's worth keeping your eye on them. We've seen a couple of leaks over the last few days, but it's hardly anything solid enough to consider a safe bet. Could this month hold a few surprises for us?
ACCURATE? This leak could be the right one
Earlier this month, the following three games were leaked as September 2021's PS Plus games:
- Overcooked All You Can Eat - PS5
- Hitman 2 - PS4
- Predator Hunting Ground - PS4
Dealabs - where the following leak is from - has been known for both accurate and inaccurate leaks over the last few months. This makes it difficult to say whether the following leak is as accurate as we want it to be, but it does offer us a believable selection of PlayStation games...
Predator Hunting Grounds isn't exactly a game that's going to last you a long time, but combine that with Overcooked All You Can Eat and you've got a couple of fantastic multiplayer games to keep you busy for a couple of weeks. Throwing Hitman 2 into the mix is far from a bad thing.
DENIED - Bloober Team dismiss recent leak
A recent leak has seen The Medium, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 and Haven advertised as the PS Plus games for September.
Bloober Team has gone on record to deny this. It's hard to tell if this is them performing damage control or the truth. This denial seems like it would come in either situation. Hopefully, we'll learn soon if it's true or not.
September 2021 PS Plus Predictions
We're going to go out on a bit of a limb here and suggest that FIST - which is an acronym for Forged In Shadow Torch - will be September 2021's free PS5 game from PS Plus.
FIST is due to release on September 7th. This is the same date that the next batch of PS Plus games become available. We know it's a bit of a punt, but it could happen. The last time this happened - with Oddworld Soulstorm - we got that with PS Plus. It's not outrageous to think PlayStation will pull this on us again.
In addition to this, PlayStation should offer up two more PS4 games with next month's PS Plus line-up. Here are our predictions for that:
- Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
- Marvel's Spider-Man
Insomniac Games' Spider-Man game is arguably the best superhero game ever made and it's about time PlayStation players get their hands on it - especially if they haven't played it already.
We're also throwing Uncharted: The Lost Legacy out there again because, to us, it screams PS Plus game. It's the perfect follow on from Uncharted 4 and... We just really want to play it again. A lot of people slept on this one because it doesn't feature Nathan Drake, but that doesn't mean it isn't a wonderful adventure that perfects Naughty Dog's gameplay.
