Operation Tango and Star Wars Squadrons will be available until July 5th. Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown is going to be available until August 2nd!
PS Plus Games Release Date & Time
Following the announcement, June 2021's PS Plus games should be made available at 00:00 local time on June 1st.
This is always done on the first Tuesday of the month, which conveniently lands on the first of the month.
Sometimes, you'll have to search for the games directly, rather than going via the PS Plus tab on the store.
Leaks Before the Announcement
Ahead of the reveal of the PS Plus June 2021 games, the main title was leaked.
According to Areajugones, who have correctly reported the PS Plus lineup in previous months, the fighting game will be one of the PS4 titles.
It will be the first time Virtua Fighter 5 has been on PS4 and it'll be free to pick up for subscribers.
Our PS Plus June 2021 Predictions
Here are the games we hope to see included in the PS Plus games next month.
Operation Tango (PS5)
The PS5 port of Operation Tango is due to be released on June 1st, the same date the PS Plus games go live.
In the past, we have seen multiple games launch on the service, including Oddworld: Soulstorm.
So, it is possible that we could see Operation Tango as the free PS5 game for June 2021.
Here is some more information about the game.
"It takes two to save the world in this cooperative spy adventure. Pair up with a friend as Agent or Hacker—with only your voices to connect you—and work together to bring a hi-tech global menace to its knees.
- This game is online co-op only and requires a microphone.
- Thanks to the Friend Pass, any of your friends can play with you for free.
- Cross-platform play enabled"
Red Faction Guerrilla Remastered (PS4)
A remaster of the classic Xbox 360 game, Red Faction Guerrilla is the third instalment in the series. Unfortunately, it appears that the series has been dropped, which is a shame because it was a fantastic FPS series that featured environment destruction and was one of the first games to do so.
Here is some more information about the game.
"Set 50 years after the climactic events of the original Red Faction, Red Faction: Guerrilla allows players to take the role of an insurgent fighter with the newly re-established Red Faction movement as they battle for liberation from the oppressive Earth Defense Force. Red Faction: Guerrilla re-defines the limits of destruction-based game-play with a huge open-world, fast-paced guerrilla-style combat, and true physics-based destruction."
Dirt 5 (PS4)
Finally, we have Dirt 5, the latest title in the series and the final entry to be released by Codemasters before being acquired by EA in February 2021.
Here is some more information about the game.
"DIRT 5 is a fun, amplified, off-road arcade racing experience created by Codemasters. Blaze a trail on routes across the world, covering gravel, ice, snow and sand, with a roster of cars ranging from rally icons to trucks, to GT heroes. With a star-studded Career, four-player split-screen, innovative online modes, livery editor and more new features, DIRT 5 is the next generation of extreme racing."
Knockout City Free Trial
We're only a few days away from the next PS Plus announcement, but did you know that you can try out EA's Knockout City for free right now?
The title is undergoing a free trial ahead of the release of Knockout City Season 1 and you still have a few days to try it out! PlayStation fans can also play with Xbox and PC players via crossplay.
Season 1 is themed "Welcome to Knockout City" and looks to set the title up for a slew of new content and regular updates in the coming months. It's a fast-paced, dodgeball-esque fighter that promises a fun blend of intense multiplayer action and excitement.
