Overwatch 2 is bringing on a whole new approach to its content, transitioning from a paid, premium game to a free-to-play game. It'll also divert from the loot box model that has been in the game since its original release, instead introducing a brand-new season-based schedule.
This new model will make it so that with each new season players will get to enjoy a plethora of new content. This content includes battle passes, new hero releases, new maps, new skins, cosmetic goodies, and more that will be updated each season.
With that in mind, here's what we know so far about the Overwatch 2 schedule.

Seasons are set to last nine weeks, which means that at the end of the nine-week period players can expect an entirely new Season that will bring on tons of new content.

Overwatch 2 Beta Phases
Before we can get into the seasonal goodness coming into Overwatch 2 following its launch, we first have to look at the game's beta.
So far, the game has undergone one beta phase that went from Tuesday, April 26, 2022, to Tuesday, May 17, 2022. However, it's not set to begin its second phase soon.
Overwatch 2 Phase 2 Beta
Overwatch 2's Phase 2 Beta begins on June 28 and will presumably end close to a month later.
It will introduce a new hero for players to play with, Junker Queen, and a new map, Rio. Additionally, it will also include essentially everything from Phase 1 and then some. This means 5v5 instead of 6v6, new maps, hero reworks, the new hero, Sojourn, revamped scoreboard, the new ping system, the new Push mode, and a mix of UI changes.
