Official images of a new banana-themed Dunk Low colourway have been revealed, and if you're like us, you're probably wondering if Nike has announced a release date yet.
In contrast to the recently revealed "Blue Raspberry" and "Cherry" Dunks, the "Banana" colourway appears to adopt a more muted and subtle design.
As a result, we're unsure as to whether these banana-inspired sneakers will feature as part of the larger "Fruity" collection later this year just yet.
However, here's everything we do know about the banana-themed Dunks so far...
When Is The Nike Dunk Low Banana Release Date?
Despite revealing images of the sneakers, Nike is yet to announce a release date for these "Banana" Dunks.
However, it's currently being reported that they'll arrive at some point in 2022, with some outlets even predicting a release in the coming months.
Interestingly, the "Fruity Pack" Dunks are expected to drop at some point this summer. While it's unclear whether the "Banana" colourway will feature in the collection, it's worth keeping this release date in mind just in case.
With more information likely to be revealed soon, stay tuned to find out the latest news right here.
Nike Dunk Low Banana Design
These banana-themed Dunk Lows draw upon inspiration from the fruit itself; however, some of the design details are a little more subtle compared to the Dunks confirmed to feature in the "Fruity Pack".
For example, the uppers are made out of an off-white leather, with the colour being referred to as Coconut Milk.
Bright yellow tones then dress some of the overlays, including the Nike Swooshes down the lateral and medial sides.
The heel tab then features brown suede to mimic a bananas stem. Check out our guide to cleaning suede shoes for top tips to help you keep your sneakers looking fresh.
On the lateral heels and the insoles, you'll find a banana sticker graphic dressed in blue and yellow. This theme is then continued with the blue, banana-inspired Nike logos on the heels.
Usual Nike branding can be found on the tongue tabs and outsoles though, thus rounding off these low-tops in typical Dunk fashion.
Nike Dunk Low Banana Price
According to reports, a men's pair of these "Banana" low-tops will cost $120. This price tag aligns with the usual cost of a pair of Dunk Lows.
It's unclear whether smaller and subsequently cheaper kid's sizes will be made available yet though, so make sure you check back in to keep up-to-date with all the latest news right here.
Where To Buy The Nike Dunk Low Banana
We believe one of the first places you'll find a listing for these "Banana" Lows is at the Nike store, presumably under the new releases or the Dunk sneakers subsections.
We'd also recommend signing up for the push notifications once a listing goes live on the SNKRS app or page so you're completely prepared for their upcoming arrival.
You could also try the resale market at StockX if your initial attempt at purchasing a pair is unsuccessful come release day.
