Leaked images have emerged of a new Air Jordan 1 Element GORE-TEX colourway dressed in "Light Curry", leaving many fans speculating as to when we might see these all-weather sneakers released.
Nike is no stranger to GORE-TEX, having been applying it to its Air Force 1's for years; however, the waterproof material is something that has only recently found its way onto Jordan basketball shoes when Nike first used it during its "Particle Grey" Jordan 1 release.
The "Light Curry" colourway is the only rumoured GORE-TEX release in 2022 so far, but it isn't the only Jordan 1 due to be released over the coming months as the Air Jordan 1 "Africa" is scheduled to arrive soon.

The new GORE-TEX Jordan 1 colourway is expected to arrive around Spring 2022; however, the exact date is currently unknown.
This may be unsurprising given Nike is yet to release official images of the sneakers, with leaked pictures of the shoes being the only information we have so far.
One of the last Jordan 1's released featuring GORE-TEX was the "Light Bone/Sail" colourway on 20 December 2021. While this isn't much to go off, it could be an indication that the "Light Curry" colourway will arrive at a later date during the upcoming Spring months.

Air Jordan 1 Element GORE-TEX "Light Curry" Design
As the name indicates, the central theme for these Jordan 1's is the inclusion of GORE-TEX's waterproof and breathable membrane across the uppers to create a multi-purpose pair of sneakers, ready to tackle all manner of weather conditions.
In terms of the design, you get a slightly warmer and louder colour palette compared to previous GORE-TEX releases.
While white dominates the base layer, the Light Curry colour dresses the majority of the nubuck overlays to give a warm orange hue to these all-weather sneakers.
By contrast, the tongues, laces, and inner linings come in black, while the Nike Air logo creates some disparity in Cardinal Red.
Underfoot, you get an interesting abstract pattern of an effect that looks as though black dye has leaked out and spread across the Light Curry outsole.
As a result, you get a contrasting black, translucent layer which allows just enough light to pass through to see the Nike branding in the centre of the sneakers.
Air Jordan 1 Element GORE-TEX "Light Curry" Price
According to recent reports, a men's pair of the "Light Curry" GORE-TEX colourway will retail for around $200, or £165 in the UK.
This seems accurate based on previous GORE-TEX Jordan 1 releases; however, the cost won't be officially confirmed until a listing goes live.
