NBA 2K20 Gameplay Trailer: New pairings, dynamic duos, off ball animations, post bucket celebration, player emotions & more

2K Sports have handed fans their first detailed look at gameplay for the upcoming game NBA 2K20 as they released a new trailer on their official YouTube channel entitled 'NBA 2K20: Next is Now'.

As the NBA enters a new era following a range of high profile moves over the off season, the 2K team look to have placed a lot of emphasis on those new dynamic duos, and boy do they look good.

Unsurprisingly, cover star Anthony Davis and new Lakers' teammate LeBron James are the first to show, with the Clippers All-Star pairing of Paul George & Kawhi Leonard, Nets Kyrie Irving & Kevin Durant, Golden State's 'Splash Brothers' Steph Curry & Klay Thompson and Rockets point machine James Harden & Russell Westbrook all featuring heavily in the sizzle reel.

One area in which 2K have made huge strides in in those post bucket celebrations.

Russell Westbrook's trademark 'Rock The Baby' looks as though it will feature in the new game, with that now infamous Bradley Beal reaction to a fan's opinion on his basketball ability even making a little appearance.

Derrick Rose's infamous 'Jelly Layup' is also teased. Whilst superstar rookie Zion Williamson - who earlier this week agreed to a long-term contract with 2K - has also had his trademark dunk and celebration added into the game.

Off ball animations and player emotion looks to have been handed a boost, with Kevin Durant shown looking serious as he flies into the Hornets subs bench, whilst Anthony Davis is shown dunking hard and throwing out a flex celebration as he bounces back off the basket padding.

One surprising omission is that Canadian franchise Toronto Raptors do not feature in the video, despite being the reigning NBA Champions heading into the 2019/20 season.
