The latest NBA 2K release is finally here. You can read our review of NBA 2K20 here, but if you want to get in on the action which edition should you buy?
As per usual there will be three editions of NBA 2K20 available to purchase; the Standard Edition, the Digital Deluxe Edition and the Legend Edition. All three are available now on console and PC.
NBA 2K20 Standard Edition
If playing 2K is a nothing more than a hobby, and you aren’t planning on investing your time into the MyTEAM mode, then the Standard Edition of the game is going to be your best option.
Available to pre-order at £49.99/$59.99 on PS4, Xbox One & Nintendo Switch and £39.99/$49.99 on PC, it is the cheapest edition on the market and still comes with its fair share of benefits at launch.
5,000 VC will give players the opportunity to make a couple of early purchases on their MyCAREER or MyTEAM, whilst you will also receive the MyPLAYER clothing capsule.
There is also the opportunity to get stuck into MyTEAM, with a respectable 5,000 MyTEAM points as well as 10 MyTEAM league packs, with one being delivered each week for the first 10 weeks following release.

NBA 2K20 Digital Deluxe Edition
As the name suggests, this year’s Deluxe Edition of 2K will be exclusively available as a digital download.
This edition of the game is suited to those who take their 2K games a little more seriously, coming in at a price of £74.99/$79.99 on console and £54.99/$59.99 on PC.
This edition is all about MyTEAM. Users will receive 10,000 MyTEAM points, 10 MyTEAM league packs and 10 MyTEAM heat check packs.
A sapphire edition of cover star Anthony Davis’ MyTEAM card will also be gifted to Digital Deluxe Edition users on release day.
As with any digital download, there are several drawbacks for those who chose this edition.
The game will be locked to the console it is downloaded to. So if you are planning on taking the game over to your friend’s house or sharing it with your family members then this isn’t the edition for you.
You will also require at least 60GB of free space on your console to download the game, and there won’t be the option to trade the game in if you decide you’ve had enough.
