Gridiron Guardians release two
The first part of Gridiron Guardians has been a big hit, with some excellent solo challenges and a great House Rules event. The 89 OVR champions have also been highly sought after by players. Now, release two is on the way!
Release two will hit the game at 1:30pm ET/6:30pm BST on Thursday 28 September.
Or at least, that's when it is scheduled to arrive. Madden has a bit of a problem with late content, so it could be after this time.
Gridiron Guardians chemistries explained
Madden 24 has finally revealed all the cards included in the Gridiron Guardians' first release. These cards have some spectacular attributes and unique chemistries.
There are six different chemistries within the Gridiron Guardians cards and in order to access the challenges you will need a certain number of each one in your lineup.
These chemistries are:
- Legitimate Legs
- M-Force
- Scrappers
- Boom Bros
- Gliders
- Compatriots
In order to access the first set of challenges for each chemistry you will need two players in your lineup with that chemistry. This is made a little easier by the program upgrade card George Karlaftis being able to get any of these chems for 25 coins. So you can have him and one more in your lineup to access the first release of challenges.
For the second release of challenges this goes up to four chems, so you will need to be collecting Gridiron Guardians cards. Thankfully, there are plenty of free packs in the program so you should be able to get there.

House Rules
With the lineup challenge for Ultimate Kickoff going away, the House Rules mode returns for Gridiron Guardians. It includes additional points for big plays and takeaways, making it more about heroics than smart football!
The aim of this House Rules game is to get 15 points, and the scoring is a little different!
- 3 points for a first down
- 5 points for an interception
- 10 points for a touchdown
All first-downs are 1st & 25 too, so you need to be picking up CHUNKS of yards. You can win right away on offense if you get a first down, touchdown, and two-point conversion, so these games can go quickly. This is good because in order to earn all the rewards from the House Rules event you need 75 wins!
The event will run until 5 October, so you do have plenty of time to complete it.
