Is Elden Ring coming to Xbox Game Pass?

Elden Ring is, perhaps, one of the most anticipated games of 2022. Seeing its release date announcement mere months ago at The Game Awards, there's a lot of questions in the air. If you're looking to play it on day one and own an Xbox or PC, this is what you should know about whether Elden Ring is coming to Xbox Game Pass.

What is Elden Ring?

Elden Ring is the long-anticipated collaboration between Game of Thrones' George R.R. Martin and Dark Souls' Hidetaka Miyazaki. Taking Miyazaki's world design and gameplay formula and adding to Martin's world-building - it attempts to take the very best of both creators.

Inspired by open-world games, this is much more open than any previous From Software game and early previews have praised its intelligent design and oppressive world. Only time will tell how great it actually is.

Will Elden Ring come to Xbox Game Pass?

Xbox Game Pass is one of the very best gaming subscriptions out there, managing to grab tonnes of new games every month. Although it's a hotly anticipated game, Xbox Game Pass have added some pretty incredible titles to the service.

They would need to strike the right deal to get this game.

Elden Ring is a huge game with a very specific appeal. From Software games always managed to grab their fanbases but their difficulty and oppressive worlds tend to put many off. As well as this, From Software don't have a habit of releasing their games on Xbox Game Pass, seeing none arrive on the service so far.

Bloodborne was on PlayStation Now and PS Plus though so it seems a little more likely to arrive there in a year or two. If we get an official announcement either way, we will update you right here.
