Elden Ring is finally almost here and with this comes tonnes of questions. How does the multiplayer work? How many bosses are there? These are valuable but one of the most pressing right now is how long it will take to get through it. Here's what we know so far.
How Long Elden Ring Takes to Beat
Soulslike games can take anywhere between 20 to 200 hours depending on what kind of player you are and how much of the world you want to explore. As Elden Ring is inspired by open-world design, it seems likely that there will be tonnes to explore. This being said, we have a good idea of how long it will take.
In an interview with Frontline it was revealed:
"Miyazaki is asked how long it takes to clear the game, and he is unsure, but thinks that if the player makes no detours at all, they think it should be around 30 hours, but he says that he honestly cannot tell"
Elden Ring Release Date
Elden Ring finally launches on February 25th this year. Only being announced a few months ago at The Game Awards, it's here surprisingly soon.
It seems unlikely to get delayed by now but we will update you right here if it does.
What is Elden Ring?
Elden Ring is an open world take on the soulslike formula with the combined forces of Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R. R. Martin.
With it, we can expect hard combat, great lore and a fascinating new world.
Some General Tips
Soulslikes tend to be hard but there are some things you can learn that will make it easier. Here are what we recommend:
- Dodge a lot. Learning how to best use movement mechanics will help you in each fight
- Pay attention to the Environment. Sometimes, you can get ambushed. Generally, there's a sign of what's coming.
- It's not all about stats. Sometimes, the most optimised gear isn't the best for you. Use what you're best with.
- Be patient. Rushing in can get you killed very quickly. Take the game slow and work through it methodically.
