FC 25 hasn't even arrived yet, but Inter Milan fans have already received some bad news ahead of the game's anticipated release later this year.
The Italian giants are set to lose their official name, badge, and kits in EA's next installment, and we'll be discussing the reasons why and much more down below!
No Inter Milan in FC 25
FC 25 is still a few months away despite FC 24 passing the halfway mark since its launch; however, there has already been some unwelcome news that will disappoint the EA FC community, Career Mode users, and Inter Milan supporters in particular.
The Serie A champions will most likely become known as Milano Calcio in FC 25 due to an agreement previously struck with Konami, which will also see them have EA-generated kits and badges.
Inter Milan signed an eFootball deal with Konami back in 2022, meaning the Italian side will feature as its authentic self exclusively in the free-to-play game.
A statement from the Konami website reads:
"The partnership will see Inter Milan feature exclusively within eFootball and no other video game from July 2024. This will see the featuring of authentic kits, the newly branded training kit, and the infamous San Siro stadium in-game."
EA has struggled to keep Serie A club licenses in previous titles, and even in the current game, with Latium, Roma FC, Napoli FC, and Bergamo Calcio all replacing the names of current teams in the league.
We have also recently seen the return of Juventus and their stadium to the game after they were previously named Piemonte Calcio.
Will San Siro be in FC 25?
With Inter signing a partnership with Konami, the developers of eFootball now have the rights to use the infamous San Siro stadium, which is home to both Inter and AC Milan.
There is no indication that AC Milan will not feature in FC 25, so the stadium will likely be in both games. However, whether or not you will be able to select it for Inter remains to be seen.
At the beginning of the year, there were rumors that the San Siro stadium would be demolished in place of a new state-of-the-art facility, but it was eventually saved by the city of Milan for its 'cultural significance.'
