At the start of Dragonflight Season 1, players could only get a fixed amount of Valor Points. Each week, players were capped at a total of 1,500 Valor Points, a cap that would incrementally increase by 750 Valor Points each week.

Thanks to an update on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, the Valor Points cap has since then been removed. This means that players can grind as many Valor Points as they want and need.

No matter if it's a level 2 keystone all the way to a level 20, upon finishing a Mythic+ dungeon players will be awarded 135 Valor Points. If anyone in the dungeon group happens to gain Mythic+ rating from the dungeon, players will receive an extra 65 Valor. This totals out to 200 Valor Points if the dungeons are done and timed correctly.
