In World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, players love to push their characters to the absolute limit.
Be it with the highest item level gear from Mythic raiding or high-end Mythic+, or the big-time rewards from the weekly Great Vault—can't forget your crafted gear either. Gear, apart from one's skill, is the defining way to maximize your character.
A good way to add to that, however, is sockets. Here's how to add a socket to your gear in WoW Dragonflight.

How to add a socket to your gear in WoW Dragonflight
For some time now in World of Warcraft, getting sockets in your gear requires some luck. The same can be said for the latest Dragonflight expansion.
Essentially, the only way for a player to get sockets is by getting lucky as, upon receiving a loot drop or opening a tier piece, players have to pray to the RNG gods that the piece of gear they loot comes with a socket.
In WoW Dragonflight, however, there are some ways to bypass this roll of the dice via three methods: crafted gear, jeweler settings, and token exchanges. Here's how each works.
Crafted Gear
Crafted gear has become a core part of gearing in WoW Dragonflight. Not only does this type of gear give the ability to have perfectly statted armor, but it also gives extra player power.
When it comes to sockets, players can get items crafted that all give sockets, these are the Elemental Lariat, the Signet of Titanic Insight, and the Ring-Bound Hourglass.
Jeweler Settings
Although not particularly new to the game, jeweler settings are another great way to earn sockets in one's gear, specifically neckpieces.
In Dragonflight, a player can add up to two sockets with Tiered Medallion Settings to their necklaces. Add the fact that players most likely have an Elemental Lariat, the neckpiece would have three sockets in total.
Token Exchanges
The last way players can get sockets in their gear is by exchanging Aspects' Token of Merit for Storm-Charged Manipulators.
Players can get Aspects' Token of Merit via the Great Vault. When selecting a reward, players can opt to receive the tokens instead of a gear piece.
Storm-Charged Manipulators cost six Aspects' Token of Merit and be used on Helms, Necks, Bracers, Belts, or Rings.
