In World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, apart from Vault of the Incarnates raid gear and profession armor, Mythic+ armor is the only truly upgradable gear, and that's done with Valor Points.
When it comes to raiding, players can only get better gear if they complete the Vault of the Incarnates raid in harder difficulties such as Heroic and Mythic. profession gear, although somewhat similar to Valor Point upgradable gear, requires reagents and materials that are sometimes hard to come by. Mythic+ armor gear, on the other hand, can be upgraded with just the click of a button—granted the player has enough Valor Points.
