Goalkeepers

Check out our 'keeper picks for GW8.

Star Signing – Ederson (£6.0m)

Despite coming in at £6.0, Brazilian 'keeper Ederson looks to be really good value this year.

Man City have kept five clean sheets from seven games so far, with matches against Burnley, Brighton and Crystal Palace up next.

Bargain Buy – Ben Foster (£4.0m)

Ben Foster kept his place in goal against Leeds despite Daniel Bachmann returning from injury, which means the Cycling GK is now the only £4.0 'keeper in FPL who starts!

Gunners goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale also now looks nailed on to start for Arsenal and is great value at just £4.6.

Defenders

These two defenders are must-haves for GW8 and beyond.

Star Signing – Joao Cancelo (£6.2m)

Joao Cancelo is now the highest-scoring FPL defender this season, with five clean sheets and two assists to his name.

Man City's favourable run of fixtures means you won't want to miss out on the Portuguese full-back.

Bargain Buy – Tino Livramento (£4.2m)

Tino Livramento is simply a must-have heading into Gameweek 8.

The Southampton wing-back loves to get forward, and with matches against Leeds, Burnley, Watford and Norwich coming up he could prove to be incredible value.

Midfielders

We're focusing on two low-priced midfielders this week.

Star Signing – Mason Mount (£7.4m)

Mason Mount has only picked up four points in the past five gameweeks combined, but we think he could be a very smart pick moving forward with the Blues' excellent run of fixtures.

Mount is now back to full fitness following his injury and has proven how integral he is to this Chelsea team when coming off the bench in recent games, so we think he'll be back starting very soon and earning points once again.

Bargain Buy – Andros Townsend (£5.6m)

Andros Townsend has produced TWO 10 point hauls on the bounce against Norwich and then Man Utd!

At just £5.6, the winger is great value along with his teammate Abdoulaye Doucoure (£5.6).

Forwards

Here are our top forward picks for GW8.

Star Signing – Gabriel Jesus (£8.6m)

Gabriel Jesus has produced attacking returns in four out of the six matches he's started this season in his new role as a right-winger.

The Brazilian faces Burnley, Brighton and Crystal Palace in the next three gameweeks.

Bargain Buy – Hee-Chan Hwang (£5.6m)

Hee-Chan Hwang has caught the eye of many FPL managers with his 13 point haul in GW7 against Newcastle, scoring two goals and picking up max bonus points.

Wolves face Aston Villa, Leeds, Everton and Crystal Palace in their next four games, which could mean more attacking returns for Hwang at just £5.6.

Alexander-Arnold & Jota expected to be available

Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.5) and Diogo Jota (£7.6) are both expected to be available for Liverpool’s GW8 match against Watford on Saturday.

Trent missed the Reds’ last two fixtures before the international break due to a groin problem, while Jota withdrew from Portugal’s national team squad on Monday.

But both players are set to rejoin full training with their club colleagues ahead of the trip to Vicarage Road.

CR7 bang in form!

Cristiano Ronaldo (£12.6) bagged himself a hattrick on international duty... again.

The Manchester United forward interestingly scored two of his goals against Luxembourg from the penalty spot.

So, this begs the question, will Ole change his mind and hand penalty duties to CR7?

Bruno Fernandes (£11.8) does have a great record for United, of course, but with the midfielder missing his last, and Ronaldo confidently dispatching two in five minutes, we think Solskjaer might switch it up going forward.

Bruno out of favour

The official FPL Twitter account has announced that Bruno Fernandes (£11.8) has fallen in price once again!

FPL managers were expecting responsibilities to shift to Cristiano Ronaldo (£12.6) but it seems Bruno is still on penalty duty for now.

So, will you be taking the Portuguese midfielder out of your squad?

Latest Price Changes

The official FPL Twitter account has revealed the latest price changes ahead of GW8.

Chelsea defensive duo Cesar Azpilicueta (£6.1) and Thiago Silva (£5.5) have increased in price, with FPL managers looking to capitalise on the Blues' good run of fixtures.

Newcastle winger Matt Ritchie (£4.9) and Arsenal youngster Florian Balogun (£4.8) have both seen their price drop, with the pair struggling for game time at the moment.
