The Premier League fixtures are out for the 2022/23 season and that means just one thing, start planning for FPL 22/23!
All 20 teams now know their schedule ahead of this unique season in which the World Cup will be played in the Winter.
As the new FPL season looms, here is who you should be backing early on.
2022/23 Premier League Fixtures
The official Premier League fixtures for the 2022/23 season were released on Thursday, 16 June.
Champions Manchester City begins their campaign with a tricky visit to East London to face David Moyes' West Ham.
Liverpool will also be heading to the capital, taking on newly-promoted Fulham at Craven Cottage. Will you be backing Darwin Nunez on debut?
Premier League new boys Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth take on Newcastle and Aston Villa respectively to get their seasons up and running.
City to start fast
As mentioned above, Manchester City faces West Ham first up in what will be a stern test for Pep Guardiola's men.
However, City will also play two of the newly promoted teams at the Etihad among their first five matches.
A run of games against Bournemouth, Newcastle, Crystal Palace, and Nottingham Forest could yield serious points for City's attack and defence alike.
The big question is whether to back Erling Haaland from the get-go, as we are expecting the Norwegian striker to command a hefty transfer fee in FPL.
No-brainer
Pick Mo Salah. If you are thinking of doing something different this season, don't.
Liverpool has a very similar run of fixtures to City in their opening five matches, playing three of the same teams in Crystal Palace, Bournemouth, and Newcastle.
Throw Fulham into the mix on the opening day and the likes of Salah, Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota, and new signing Darwin Nunez could be in the points early on.
GW3 will see them face bitter rivals Man Utd, so you may not want to gamble on filling your quota of three Liverpool players just yet.
Gunning for glory
Some possible early differentials may come from Mikel Arteta's Arsenal, as a favourable early run could see them off to a flyer!
Gunners fans will certainly be confident of picking up early points against Crystal Palace, Leicester, Bournemouth, Fulham, and Aston Villa.
The attacking talents of Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith-Rowe, and Gabriel Martinelli could all be tempting (and slightly cheaper) options for your side.
Arsenal were defensively sound last season too, so could Gabriel or possibly even William Saliba make your side?
