Goalkeepers
There's one big surprise in here!
Star Signing – Alisson (£6.0)
Coming in at £6.0, Alisson is the joint most expensive goalkeeper in FPL, but there's a reason why!
Liverpool's defence has been massively improved by the return of Virgil Van Dijk (£6.5), having kept four clean sheets from five games so far this season.
Bargain Buy – Aaron Ramsdale (£4.5)
To many fans' surprise, Aaron Ramsdale seems to be getting the nod as Arsenal's number one 'keeper at the moment.
Should this continue, the Englishman is a great option at just £4.5, given the Gunners' newfound defensive solidity.
Defenders
Here are two defenders which could prove valuable in the long run.
Star Signing – Antonio Rudiger (£5.5)
It's important to consider a Chelsea defender, given how solid they are at the back and Antonio Rudiger is a great option, as he seems nailed on to start every week.
You could also go for Marcos Alonso (£5.7) but with Ben Chilwell waiting in the wings, Tuchel may look to rotate the two left-backs.
Bargain Buy – Takehiro Tomiyasu (£4.5)
Takehiro Tomiyasu has hit the ground running at Arsenal, securing two clean sheets in two games.
With the Gunners' real lack of quality right-backs ad given how well Tomiyasu has started, we think the Japanese international will be starting week in, week out.
Midfielders
It's all about the wingers this week!
Star Signing – Mohamed Salah (£12.6)
If you don't have Mo Salah in your FPL team by now, you should probably think about it...
The Egyptian has blanked in only one Gameweek so far this season and faces newly-promoted Brentford next.
Bargain Buy – Ismaila Sarr (£6.1)
Ismaila Sarr is a great option at £6.1, being a very direct player who looks to get shots off at any opportunity.
Watford come up against Newcastle and Leeds in their next two games, who have both struggled defensively, so Sarr will look to build on his 15 point haul from GW5.
Forwards
One returning face tops the list for the forwards this week.
Star Signing – Michail Antonio (£7.9)
Michail Antonio is back from his suspension and back on FPL managers' minds!
Antonio, who already has 39 points so far this season, has a fantastic fixture against Leeds in GW6, so it could be worth bringing the in-form striker back into your team.
Bargain Buy – Raul Jimenez (£7.4)
Despite Jimenez not finding the back of the net yet this season, he could prove to be a great asset moving forward as Wolves face Southampton and Newcastle next.
The Wolves striker does look to have lost a bit of his confidence since returning from injury, but at £7.4 we think he is worth the punt.
More Price Changes
Said Benrahma (£6.5) rises yet again, while Antonio Rudiger (£5.6) sees his price increase following a 14 point haul in GW5.
Kai Havertz (£8.2) and Ferran Torres (£7.1) are among several players to fall in price this week.
Sadio Mane overlooked?
Sadio Mane (£11.9) has been overshadowed by his teammate Mohamed Salah (£12.6) in the opening five Gameweeks.
However, Mane has also enjoyed a strong start to the 2021/22 campaign.
After a blank against Norwich City in Gameweek 1, he has produced returns in each of the Reds’ last four fixtures.
The Liverpool winger has scored against Burnley, Leeds United and Crystal Palace, as well as providing an assist at home to Chelsea.
So, if you're looking for a differential to get ahead of those in your mini-league, Mane could be the way forward.
