With the twenty-sixth gameweek of the season just around the corner, we're really getting to the business end of the campaign and players are on the hunt for the best Wildcard team in Fantasy.
Whilst fixtures chop and change, lots of FPL managers are now looking to use their second Wildcard chip ahead of the Fantasy Premier League GW26 deadline.
The Wildcard chip is undoubtedly the most powerful chip in the game.
Playing your Wildcard chip will allow you to make unlimited changes to your team without incurring any point hits.
So, let's get into the best possible Wildcard team for GW26.
Goalkeeper
The best goalkeepers for your GW26 Wildcard team are:
- David Raya (£4.8m)
- Danny Ward (£4.0m)
Brentford are one of just a few teams that play two fixtures in both GW27 and GW29 and do not blank in GW28.
The Bees will face Fulham (H) before coming up against Everton (A) and Southampton (A) in GW27. This makes 'keeper David Raya (£4.8m) an excellent choice in net.
Leicester's Danny Ward (£4.0m) is a suitable backup.
Defenders
The best defensive five for Gameweek 26 and beyond is:
- Kieran Trippier (£6.0m)
- Oleksandr Zinchenko (£5.1m)
- Rico Henry (£4.5m)
- Pervis Estupinan (£4.7m)
- Fabian Schar (£5.1m)
Doubling up on Newcastle defenders is a smart play, with the Magpies facing Wolves (H) and Nottingham Forest (A) before their double gameweek 29 fixtures.
Oleksandr Zinchenko (£5.1m) is essentially a playmaker for Arsenal and has accumulated 25 points from the past three matches alone.
Pervis Estupinan (£4.7m) has not failed to produce a return of fewer than six points in each of the last five GWs, amassing 36 points in total, with doubles in GW27 and GW29 coming up.
With Brentford's fantastic run of upcoming fixtures, Rico Henry (£4.5m) could prove to be a valuable asset over the next several weeks.
Midfielders
The best midfield five for Gameweek 26 is:
- Dejan Kulusevski (£7.9m)
- Marcus Rashford (£7.2m)
- Bukayo Saka (£8.5m)
- Martin Odegaard (£7.0m)
- Kaoro Mitoma (£5.3m)
Despite not blanking in GW27 or GW29, Spurs' upcoming run of matches against Wolves (A), Nottingham Forest (H), Southampton, Everton (A) and Bournemouth (H) makes Dejan Kulusevski (£7.9m) a great option.
Marcus Rashford (£7.2m) is simply a must-have in Fantasy right now.
The same goes for Bukayo Saka (£8.5m), and with Arsenal facing Bournemouth (H), Fulham (A), Crystal Palace (H) and Leeds (H) in their next four games, doubling up on the Gunners' midfielders is optimal.
Brihgton's favourable doubles against Leeds (A) and Crystal Palace (H) in GW27 and then Brentford (H) and Bournemouth (A) in GW29 make Kaoro Mitoma (£5.3m) a fantastic play.
Forwards
The best front three for Gameweek 26 and beyond in Fantasy is:
- Erling Haaland (£12.2m)
- Ivan Toney (£7.6m)
- Harry Kane (£11.7m)
Manchester City goal machine Erling Haaland (£12.2m) is a neseccity.
Despite recent speculation surrounding Ivan Toney (£7.6m), we expect the English striker to play in the upcoming weeks and with Brentford's run of fixtures, could be a big scorer.
Harry Kane (£11.7m) has blanked just once in the past six gameweeks. Spurs' run of upcoming fixtures makes the England skipper a must in Fantasy.
