FPL GW25 - Best Free Hit team for the Blank-Double Gameweek

Gameweek 25 is approaching fast in Fantasy Premier League and with four teams blanking and four teams doubling, FPL managers are looking to use their Free Hit Chip this week.

The Free Hit allows for unlimited transfers in a single Gameweek.

By playing the Free Hit chip, managers can replace their entire squad for that Gameweek but their 15-man line-up is returned to how it was at the start of the Gameweek for the next deadline.

You should only use this chip in GW25 if you have 6 or more players from the four teams without a fixture.

So, let's get into the best possible Free Hit team for GW25.

Goalkeeper

The best goalkeeper for your GW25 Free Hit team is:

  • Jordan Pickford (£4.4m)

Everton's Double Gameweek 25 fixtures against Aston Villa (H) and Arsenal (A) means 'keeper Jordan Pickford (£4.4m) is a quality option in net, allowing you to triple up on other teams' players.

Defenders

The best defensive trio for Gameweek 25 is:

  • Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.3m)
  • Oleksandr Zinchenko (£5.1m)
  • Nelson Semedo (£5.0m)

Liverpool's Double Gameweek 25 fixtures against Crystal Palace (A) and Wolves (H) makes Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.3m) a must-have for Free Hit squads.

The right-back scored 12 points last time out with one assist and a clean sheet to his name.

You'll need an Arsenal triple-up for their DGW25 fixtures against Leicester (A) and Everton (H) and who better than Oleksandr Zinchenko (£5.1m) who netted his first Premier League goal last week against Aston Villa.

You'll want at least one Wolves player in your team for their Double against Fulham (A) and Liverpool (A). Nelson Semedo (£5.0m) is a great option as he provides an attacking threat as well as the potential for clean sheet points.

Midfielders

The best midfield four for Gameweek 25 is:

  • Mohamed Salah (£12.6m)
  • Alex Iwobi (£5.4m)
  • Bukayo Saka (£8.4m)
  • Riyad Mahrez (£7.8m)

Mohamed Salah (£12.6m) is a must-have for Free-Hitters in GW25. The Egyptian winger has amassed 17 points in the last two gameweeks, with one goal, one assist and three bonus points in that time.

Alex Iwobi (£5.4m) is the second Everton player in the team. Perhaps the Toffees' brightest spark, Iwobi produced an assist and seven points in GW24.

Arsenal star boy Bukayo Saka (£8.4m) is another essential asset for GW25. The England international has nine goals and eight assists to his name already this season and is on penalty duty for the Gunners.

Riyad Mahrez (£7.8m) is in fine form right now and will look to exploit a rather unsure Bournemouth defence in GW25.

Forwards

The best front three for Gameweek 25 is:

  • Erling Haaland (£12.2m)
  • Darwin Nunez (£8.7m)
  • Eddie Nketiah (£6.8m)

Darwin Nunez (£8.7m) has one goal and one assist to his name in his last two outings. The Uruguayan striker is nailed on to start for the Reds.

Despite producing just one attacking return in his last four fixtures, Eddie Nketiah (£6.8m) is a great option for DGW25.

The Arsenal forward has played 90 minutes in each of the last nine PL matches and is a constant threat in and around the penalty area.

You'll want to make sure to include Erling Haaland (£12.2m) as he looks to improve on his tally of 26 league goals against newly promoted Bournemouth.

Substitutes

As far as the substitutes go, you shouldn't need to worry too much.

Hopefully, all of your first-XI players will get sufficient minutes, but you'll want a couple of options off the bench if all does not go to plan.

Everton centre-back James Tarkowski (£4.3m) is a great cheap option who is guaranteed two 90-minute games.
