We're approaching the twenty-fourth gameweek of the 2022/23 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) season and things are really hotting up now.

With double and blank gameweeks coming thick and fast, you'll need to get your squad in order for the short-mid term fixtures.

Well, we've found the perfect forward for you. Owned by just 1.4% of FPL managers, Chelsea's Joao Felix (£7.5m) is a great option for Gameweek 24 and beyond.

In this article, we will be breaking down Felix as an FPL asset based on his form, fixtures and opponents.

Form

Chelsea have had an incredibly tough time over the course of the past few weeks in the Premier League.

The Blues have won just one of their past five PL matches, having scored only three goals.

Chelsea's previous five PL results are as follows:

  • GW23 - West Ham 1-1 Chelsea
  • GW22 - Chelsea 0-0 Fulham
  • GW21 - Liverpool 0-0 Chelsea
  • GW20 - Chelsea 1-0 Crystal Palace
  • GW19 - Fulham 2-1 Chelsea

Despite Chelsea's poor form, Joao Felix has impressed massively in the two matches he has played.

Following his return from suspension, the Portuguese forward played 90 minutes, scored one goal and picked up three bonus points against West Ham.

Considering the fee that Chelsea forked out for just a six month loan-deal, we expect Felix to be a fixture in the first XI.

Fixtures

Let's take a more detailed look at Felix's short-mid term fixtures.

Chelsea's next six PL fixtures are as follows:

  • Southampton (H)
  • Spurs (A)
  • Leeds (A)
  • Leicester (A)
  • Everton (H)
  • Aston Villa (H)

Opposition

Now we know Chelsea's upcoming opponents, we need to have a more in-depth look at each one individually.

GW24 - Sitting rock bottom of the Premier League table, Southampton have lost their last three matches, scoring just one goal in that time.

GW25 - Spurs conceded four goals in their last match against Leicester.

GW26 - Leeds have conceded two goals in each of their last two PL matches.

GW27 - Leicester have failed to keep a clean sheet since GW16.

GW28 - Everton are a more formidable prospect under Sean Dyche, however, we expect Chelsea to win comfortably at Stamford Bridge.

GW29 - Aston Villa have conceded seven goals in the last two Premier League matches alone.
