FIFA 23 has well and truly arrived and players are now fiercely competing in Ultimate Team, Career Mode, Pro Clubs and more.
The 2022/23 season was always going to be a special one, with the Qatar World Cup kicking off in November.
Speculation surrounding a World Cup mode in FIFA 23 has been rife over the past several weeks, with fans wondering what they can actually expect from the game mode this time around.
Well, it seems we've just got our first look at the hotly anticipated 2022 Qatar World Cup game mode in FIFA 23.
Sneak Peek
This leak has come from absolutely nowhere! It seems @noelfut has incorrectly been granted access to the FIFA 23 World Cup Mode tutorial.
The user has shared a quick one-and-a-half-minute screen recording of the World Cup tutorial itself via Twitter.
It seems you will be able to take your chosen nation into battle by setting up custom online or offline tournaments or by playing quick matches against the AI or your friends, both local and online.
World Cup Game Modes
The first thing that you'll notice is that there are three major options when entering the FIFA 23 World Cup tutorial - 'Your FIFA World Cup', 'Featured Quickplay' and 'Online Quickplay'.
The Quickplay modes allow you to choose any World Cup fixture, past or present, and play a one-off match against local friends, against the AI or against an online friend.
If you click on the 'Your FIFA World Cup' tab, you will be taken to a separate menus page with the following gameplay options:
- FIFA World Cup Live
- FIFA World Cup Kick Off
- Online Tournament
- Continue Tournament / New Tournament / Load Tournament / Custom Tournament
- Customise
