FIFA 23 World Cup Mode - Official ratings confirm tournament's best players

EA has revealed the official ratings for their FIFA 23 World Cup mode, and there are some huge upgrades for some top international stars.

What goes up must come down though, and some big-name players have been hammered in the World Cup rating release too.

World Cup Ratings

The World Cup ratings are slightly different from the original FIFA 23 ratings, as a larger emphasis has been placed on international performance.

A key example of this is Trent Alexander-Arnold. Unfancied by Gareth Southgate, TAA has seen his original 87 OVR drop to 84 OVR!

IT'S ON - The first ratings for the World Cup are out now

However, these ratings can and will change as the tournament progresses, just like the live form that is usually available in Kick-Off mode.

It must be stressed that these ratings are only available in Kick-Off and Tournament mode, and are not the same ratings that will be seen in FUT.

World Cup's Best

At the start of FIFA 23, five players received a 91 OVR. In World Cup mode, this number rises to seven with the additions of Thibaut Courtois and Neymar Jr.

PSG superstar Neymar Jr has received a +2 to his previous 89 OVR as he often shines for his country, having scored 75 goals for Brazil.
