FIFA 22 is in full flow now with promo and SBC content coming thick and fast in Ultimate Team.
However, it's time to look ahead to EA's next installment in the franchise - FIFA 23.
Find out whether FIFA 23 will include a World Cup mode here.
Will FIFA 23 have a World Cup mode?
With the 2022 World Cup set to kick off in November 2022, fans have been wondering whether EA will release a special game mode as part of FIFA 23.
The short answer is yes, FIFA 23 will have a World Cup mode.
EA is planning to release a FIFA 23 World Cup game mode around two FIFA World Cup tournaments.
This content will cover both the men's and women's 2022 World Cup.
"Best ever" content
EA has officially announced that FIFA 23 will be the last in the series, with EA Sports FC taking over in the summer of 2023.
As part of the announcement, EA confirmed that World Cup content will be included in FIFA 23.
"We are committed to ensuring the next FIFA is our best ever, with more features, game modes, World Cup content, clubs, leagues, competitions, and players than any FIFA title before."
Exciting times, FIFA fans!
FIFA 23 Release Date
With the next game such a long way off we don’t have an official release date yet, but we always have a rough idea of when the game will arrive.
FIFA 22 was fully launched on Friday, 1 October 2021, so if EA follows the same trend, then Friday, 30 September 2022 could be our release date next year.
This would mean early access for pre-orders from Tuesday, 27 September for those who buy the Ultimate Edition of the game.
The 10-hour EA Play trial usually offers players a limited number of hours of gaming too and goes live even earlier than pre-orders so expect to see that around a week before the full launch.
