The 2022 Qatar World Cup has taken over FIFA 23, with Path to Glory promo items, World Cup Heroes and a fresh Swaps system all arriving in Ultimate Team.
Within the Swaps program, players have the chance to unlock certain World Cup Icons for the first time in FUT history.
This has got some FUT 23 users wondering what World Cup Icons actually are. Well, we've got you covered - find out everything you need to know about the new items below.
What are World Cup Icons?
The World Cup event features the first instance of Campaign Icons in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team.
These 'Campaign Icons' have replaced Icon Moments and give EA more room to get creative with the types of cards they release for specific legends.
World Cup Icon cards honour players whose legacies are tied to the World Cup.
While most World Cup Icons are available in packs and on the transfer market, some World Cup Icons will only be available via SBCs.
Until Wednesday, 4 January players have the chance to redeem World Cup Icons through the Swaps program.
All-time greats Patrick Vieira and Cafu are up for grabs for 40 and 30 World Cup Swap Tokens respectively.
