Players have been waiting for some time, but finally, new Man of the Match items have arrived in packs in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team. These MOTM items had been determined some time ago and their arrival in packs was hotly anticipated.
Now, you can get your hands on these cards via packs and from the transfer market, with the likes of Erling Haaland, Joshua Kimmich, and Kai Havertz featuring as the headliners.
Check below to discover all of the new Man of the Match items added to FIFA 23 Ultimate Team.
FIFA 23 MOTM Items
A Man of the Match item is often awarded to players that perform on the biggest stages.
Whether you've scored five goals in a Champions League knockout match, or helped your team to capture a prestigious domestic competition, these items may not be elite, but they certainly are enticing.
The obvious headliner is Erling Haaland, boasting a 90 OVR alongside Bayern Munich superstar Joshua Kimmich, with both players being rewarded for big performances against RB Leipzig and PSG respectively.
These Man of the Match items span across the Champions League, Europa League, Europa Conference League, and the various domestic cup competitions, and are finally available in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team.
European Powerhouses
We're used to seeing the biggest stars rewarded for their class and this round of new MOTM items is no different. A number of stars feature from important moments in the Champions League, with Erling Haaland the obvious headliner.
Three of the European stars have received "Featured MOTM" items denoted by the star above their rating, highlighting an extra boost to their attributes. We have seen this added to Team of the Week squads, and Matteo Darmian, Edmond Tapsoba, and Jesper Karlsson are the lucky recipients this time around.
Erling Haaland (OVR 90)
The Norwegian destroyer bagged five goals in City's round of 16 victory against RB Leipzig and we're not surprised that he's been heavily boosted in FIFA 23.
With 96 Sprint Speed, 95 Strength, and 96 Finishing, Haaland's new item is lethal in front of goal. Haaland's Ones to Watch item has also been boosted too after the awarding of the MOTM item.
Joshua Kimmich (OVR 90)
It wasn't just Haaland making a name for himself in the UCL, but Bayern Munich superstar and captain Joshua Kimmich was doing the same in a different way.
A star in Bavaria, Kimmich played a key role in helping Bayern defeat PSG and progress in the Champions League. The German star now boasts an incredible 88 Short Passing and 91 Long Passing, but his 70 Pace sadly may see him discarded to the fodder pile.
Kai Havertz (OVR 88)
Kimmich isn't the only German star to have been rewarded in the latest Man of the Match drop, as Chelsea's Kai Havertz has also been given a significant boost. Helping Chelsea to defeat Borussia Dortmund at Stamford Bridge, Havertz's Man of the Match status is probably the most dubious of the batch.
Regardless, Havertz has been rewarded with an 88 OVR, including 89 Positioning and 88 Finishing, alongside some very good physical attributes too.
All of these items are newly dropped in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team and represent strong value, especially if you're a fan of one of these clubs.
Cup Classics
It isn't just UCL stars that have been handed the big rewards, with domestic competitions also being taken into account.
Bruno Fernandes looks to have been rewarded for his classy performance in the Carabao Cup final for Manchester United, with the Portuguese attacking midfielder receiving a 90 OVR.
Tommy Doyle of Sheffield United has also been boosted, with the on-loan Man City man scoring a scorcher against Blackburn in the FA Cup to send the Blades to Wembley.
Ibrahim Sadiq is the final of the three players to receive a new MOTM item after sending BK Hacken to the Swedish Cup final with a brace against Djurgarden.
