Who to Pick
When deciding which SBC to complete, it's important you understand exactly how the Showdown upgrades work in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team.
For the team that wins the fixture, the corresponding Showdown SBC card in-game will receive a +2 OVR upgrade, further boosting the card to new heights, while the card from the team that lost will remain the same rating.
If the fixture results in a draw, then both cards will receive a +1 OVR upgrade.
We would expect to see Man City win the game against Newcastle, although it won't be easy.
City is the form team out of the two, with The Magpies without a win in their last four league matches and losing to Man United in the EFL Cup Final.
However, when the two sides met earlier in the season it ended in a 3-3 draw, but it should be noted that the game was played a St. James' Park.
Murphy could be a nice addition to your side, but only if he gets the +2 upgrade, and even then he won't be outstanding.
If City do claim the win then Stones could be one of the best CBs in the game, and with a Shadow, his upgraded card would have 88 PAC, 80 PAS, 83 DRI, 96 DEF and 92 PHY!
