FIFA 23 will be released soon, which means it's time to start planning your started squads for this year's game.
The FUT 23 Web App will launch before the full game hits, giving you a chance to earn some valuable coins and capture some of your starter cards ahead of release.
We've created a budget Serie A starter squad that will compete with the best around and get you results during the early stages of the FUT cycle.
Rui Patricio - GK
There are a few Serie A keepers who will do a decent job for your side, so it will be a case of seeing what the cost of them are once Ultimate Team kicks off.
For now, we've opted for Rui Patricio, who should be 82 OVR again, and is one of a few in the league that sits around that rating.
Denzel Dumfries - CB
That's right, we've not even started the new game yet and we're already planning on playing a RB as a CB!
Some see this as a bit of a scumbag approach, however, with his height and physicality, Denzel Dumfries will make a great addition to our back three.
Kim Min Jae - CB
We're taking a punt on Napoli's new signing Kim Min Jae, who we think could be a very useful choice in defence.
The South Korean has good pace, is quite physical and defensively sound, and is leaked to get upgraded from 74 OVR to 79 OVR in FIFA 23.
Roger Ibanez - CB
With Kostas Manolas leaving the league and Fikayo Tomori leaked for a massive upgrade putting him out of our starter squad price range, we're having to look elsewhere for pacey CBs.
Roger Ibanez isn't as fast as the other two mentioned but is the next best thing, and again is defensively solid.
Andre-Franck Zambo Anguissa - CDM
We're lining up as a 3-5-2, so are looking to include two holding midfielders, with Andre-Franck Zambo Anguissa offering great pace to cover any gaps.
He is leaked to get a +5 upgrade from FUT 22, coming in at 81 OVR, and are hoping his low defensive work rate gets changed too!
Piotr Zielinski - CDM
Joining his Napoli teammate at CDM is Piotr Zielinski, who is a bit more of an all-rounder.
He still has the legs to get about the pitch and can be very useful when getting forward.
Hirving Lozano - RM
One of the quickest players in the league, Hirving Lozano will cause trouble for any defenders.
He has great ability on the ball and is good in front of the goal too!
Nicolo Zaniolo - CAM
Nicolo Zaniolo doesn't really fit the mould of your usual CAM, bringing much physicality to the role.
He is also quick for a midfielder and can help out defensively if need be.
Ante Rebic - LM
Ante Rebic saw a decent amount of play at the start of FUT 22 and we're backing him again in FIFA 23.
He might take a little hit to his 82 OVR this time round, but he is still pacey and powerful, and class in and around the box.
Luis Muriel - ST
A very meta striker, Luis Muriel could be snapped up for very cheap last season and we're hoping for the same this one.
Nimble and nippy, the Colombian can be deadly in the final third.
Victor Osimhen - ST
Victor Osimhen is leaked for a nice little upgrade in FIFA 23, but hopefully, he still comes within budget for a starter squad.
He offers pace, strength, aerial threat and pinpoint finishing up top, so will suit many different playstyles.
