FIFA 23 Serie A POTM - Nominees REVEALED with Lazio powerhouse included

More exciting content is on its way into FIFA 23 Ultimate Team, with another round of special Player of the Month (POTM) items set to be revealed soon.

This time it's the turn of Serie A players to have their abilities highlighted, with them judged on their performances across the month of October.

A number of Italian league fan-favourites are in with a chance of claiming this month's honours, which could make for an awesome SBC card in Ultimate Team.

So, take a look at the Serie A's official nominees for the October Player of the Month (POTM) award and a special card via SBC in FUT 23 below.

The EA Sports FIFA Twitter account has revealed the official nominees for the October Serie A POTM award.

As expected, the likes of Nicolo Barella and Rafael Leao are included but a shock name, Ademola Lookman has snuck in there too.

The Serie A October POTM nominees are:

The Italian top flight will produce a BEAST of a card this time around, no matter which candidate wins the Serie A Player of the Month award.

Serbian central-midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is in pole position for the Serie A's October Player of the Month award, having registered two goals and two assists in a month where Lazio went unbeaten, winning three matches and drawing one.

The 27-year-old could make for the perfect box-to-box centre-mid in FUT 23, standing at 6 feet 3 inches tall with incredible stats across the board along with four-star skill moves and a five-star weak foot.

Unfortunately for Inter fans, the Nerazzurri couldn't match Lazio's unbeaten record in October, having lost one match and won three, leaving them in seventh place in the Serie A table.

Argentinian striker Lautaro Martinez was on fire throughout, netting three goals and picking up one assist in just four appearances.

Rafael Leao (OVR 87)

FUT fanatics would LOVE to see Rafael Leao win the Serie A POTM. The Portugal international has made a good case for himself, scoring two goals on top of one assist in October.

AC Milan's perfect record of four wins from four matches could just edge it for Leao, who would receive an insane 87 OVR SBC card that could be game-breaking.

Nicolo Barella (OVR 89)

FUT fan favourite Nicolo Barella is the second Inter player on the shortlist, having registered two goals and two assists in the league last month.

Should he claim the Serie A POTM award, Barella will be handed an incredible 89-rated card that will likely possess not a single base stat below 80.

Mattia Zaccagni (OVR 82)

27-year-old Italian forward Mattia Zaccagni was Lazio's main man during their unbeaten league run in October.

The inverted winger managed to score three goals and pick up two assists last month which could land him an 82 OVR Player of the Month card in FUT.

Napoli's South Korean international centre-back Kim Min-Jae claimed September's Serie A Player of the Month award with a brilliant 82 OVR card.
