FIFA 23 PSG Career Mode Guide: Starting Lineup, Who to Sign & more

If you are taking over as PSG manager in FIFA 23 Career Mode you will be inheriting the best front three in the entire game and perhaps in FIFA history.

So, the only real measure of success is to win the Champions League, as collecting domestic silverware in France is almost a given for the Parisians.

Amazingly, Paris Saint-Germain are still yet to win the UCL, having been knocked out of the competition 14 times in a row now.

So, we're providing you with all the tools to get your PSG side in the best possible shape to finally achieve European glory.

Team Rating

PSG has a five-star rating in FIFA 23.

The breakdown of the ratings is as follows: ATT 88, MID 82, DEF 83.

Starting Lineup and Formation

We recommend using the 4-3-3 formation for PSG which will allow you to get the most out of the attackers whilst remaining defensively stable at the back.

Three of the most overpowered cards in the game combine to make up the famous front three - Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, and Lionel Messi.

Marco Verratti will run the show at the base of the midfield, with the talented Renato Sanchez and Vitinha in the number eight positions.

META MADNESS - This PSG team is filled with meta players

Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes provide great pace in the full-back positions and offer a threat going forward too.

Presnel Kimpembe partners Marquinhos at the heart of the defence, with the likes of Nordi Mukiele and Sergio Ramos waiting in the wings.

In goal is a straight shoot-out between Gianluigi Donnarumma and Keylor Navas with both players more than capable of doing a great job.

Tactics and Instructions

With Kylian Mbappe being the main target up front, we want to maximise his goal threat.

So, instruct the striker to Stay Forward, Get In Behind and Stay Central to give him the best possible chance of a sight at goal.

GOAT LEVELS - Messi is still producing crazy numbers at 35 years of age

You'll want to instruct Lionel Messi to "Cut Inside" so that you can take advantage of that magical left foot.

Make sure your number six, Marco Verratti is set to Stack Back Whilst Attacking and Cover Centre in order to provide defensive cover.

You may wish to set your full-backs to Always Overlap as they bring real quality in attack too.

Training

There are developing stars everywhere you look in Paris Saint-Germain's squad.

Vitinha (POT 89), Carlos Soler (POT 88) and Renato Sanchez (POT 85) can be transformed into a world-class midfield trio with just a few years of training.

TOP TALENT - We all know just how good Renato Sanches can become

The Parisians have one of the most promising full-back partnerships in world football in the form of Nuno Mendes (POT 88) and Achraf Hakimi (POT 87).

Academy graduate Hugo Ekitike (POT 85) can develop into a top-class centre-forward in years to come.

Transfer Market

Starting budget: £163.79 million

Who should go?

With an abundance of midfielders at the club, we would recommend selling one or two of them to free up funds for future signings.

26-year-old Spain international centre-mid Fabian Ruiz is not currently getting in the side and can be sold for around £40 million.

The ageing Pablo Sarabia's sale will free up another £25 million for the transfer budget.

Ismail Gharbi can also be sold as his potential rating is not high enough to challenge for a first-team spot.

Add in the sale of goalkeeper Sergio Rico and you will have accumulated roughly £70 million to spend on new signings.

Who to sign?

New transfer budget: £233.79 million

Promising Forward

In terms of who to sign, you will have all the freedom in the world due to your new transfer budget and PSG's already brilliant squad.

You can hardly improve the front three, but age will come in to play after a season or two so signing a young forward is the right option in the first season.

FUTURE STAR - Joao Felix has all the talent in the world

Portuguese starlet Joao Felix should be your number one target. The versatile forward can provide cover on both wings, in the number 10 position and up front.

The 22-year-old has an 84 OVR and can grow to a potential of 90.

Top Class Centre-Mid

The only other area of PSG's FIFA 23 squad we can see that may need bolstering is in the midfield.

Despite Marco Verratti's world-class ability, the Italian midfield general will need to be replaced within three or four seasons.

GENERATIONAL TALENT - Bellingham can become one of the best in the world

Borussia Dortmund centre-mid Jude Bellingham should be your number one target, with an already brilliant card and the potential to grow into a 91 OVR player in FIFA 23.

The Englishman won't come cheap, however, with £90 million perhaps required to sign him, but his wages of £41,000 a week are respectable.

Board Expectations

Winning is all that matters. Forget Financial and Youth Development and focus solely on results on the pitch.

Domestic Success is critical, and with the squad at your disposal winning Ligue 1 should be a piece of cake.

How will you cope with the pressure of Continental Success though? A critical priority of the board, all your eggs are in the Champions League basket.

The board are keen on Brand Exposure too, but with Messi, Mbappe, and Neymar in the squad and a huge transfer budget, that should not be a problem.
