FIFA 23 has arrived and players are getting stuck into Ultimate Team now, with the first FUT Champions Weekend League of the season having been and gone.
We can all agree that there's nothing FIFA players love more than free packs and player items in FUT 23.
However, it looks like another EA error has caused a major problem with certain 'guaranteed' player packs in Ultimate Team.
FUT fanatics fuming
Those of you that pre-ordered the game will be entitled to certain bonuses in Ultimate Team, including a free Ones to Watch (OTW) player pack.
However, in what can only be described as yet another EA mistake, the Ones to Watch pre-order pack seems to be handing out Gold items instead.
BrentB83 is just one of the hundreds from the FIFA community to have taken to social FIFA forums in order to complain about the EA error.
At such an early stage in the game cycle, Ones to Watch items can provide a significant boost to a player's team.
It is simply unfair that some players are not being given the OTW items that they were guaranteed from pre-ordering the Ultimate Edition of the game.
Blessing in disguise
EA has since acknowledged the Ones to Watch pre-order pack error and has stated the following via the official FIFA Direct Communication Twitter account:
"We will be following up with impacted players in game in the coming days."
We expect EA to address the impacted players by re-distributing the Ones to Watch pre-order packs that were faulty in the first place, giving you the chance to claim an actual OTW card.
EA will most likely allow affected users to keep the Gold items they received from the Ones to Watch pre-order packs.
So, you may as well go and open your Ones to Watch pack now in the hope you pull a great bade Gold item, safe in the knowledge that EA will give you a free OTW player pack if your pack is faulty.
