Latest - Sensational SBC Inbound
Arguably the greatest player to ever grace the football pitch, Lionel Messi, is set to receive the Ligue 1 Player of the Month award for the first time since arriving in France, according to multiple reports.
The little magician registered two goals and two assists in three league appearances, whilst PSG won all their matches during September.
The footballing icon is set to receive a 92 OVR POTM card that will likely possess similar stats to that of his UCL Road to the Knockouts (RTTK) card.
The Argentine's special SBC card will no doubt boast incredible dribbling, passing and shooting.
We expect the 35-year-old's Squad Building Challenge to be the most expensive we have seen in FUT 23 so far and rightly so.
Nominees Announced
Ligue 1 has revealed the nominees for September's Player of the Month award, and yet again there is a massive name included.
Lionel Messi could gain a huge SBC if he wins the award, however, he will have to beat Jonathan David and Dango Ouattara to it first.
You can vote for your favourite on the official EA website here.
Lionel Messi
After not featuring on a Player of the Month shortlist during his first season at PSG, Lionel Messi has now made it two from two in his second season.
PSG won all their games in September and Messi had goal involvements in all three.
He started the month off with two assists against Nantes, then followed that with a vital assist and then a goal in each 1-0 victory that came after.
Jonathan David
Lille's Jonathan David is the outsider for the award, with only three goals in three matches during September.
The side carried on their inconsistent season with a win, a loss, and then a win in the month, with David scoring two in the first win and another in the second.
His goals proved crucial, and without them, the side would only have gained two points instead of six.
Dango Ouattara
Lorient has had a super start to the season, sitting just one point behind league leaders PSG.
They played four games in September, winning all of them.
During that time Dango Ouattara was in fantastic form, scoring a goal in each match and getting an assist in another two.
Like with the other two nominees, Ouattara's goal involvements were key to his side's success, getting them the full 12 points instead of five without them.
Ouattara is probably the frontrunner for the award, which could lead to a huge rating increase from his 63 OVR base card.
