It's the most wonderful time of the year, with World Cup football taking over the tv and FIFA 23!
The DLC allows you to manage and play with authentic teams, taking control of their destinies - and with authentic teams come updated ratings.
Take a look at how England shapes up in the World Cup mode compared to their current ratings in the base game.
Right-back Down
The conundrum of Trent Alexander-Arnold's disparency for club and country is shown, with the right-back getting -2 to his current overall rating.
Although he started FIFA 23 with an 87 OVR, that has dropped to an 86 OVR after poor club form, with it going down even more in the DLC.
It is frustrating that such a talent hasn't been able to reproduce his club form for his national team, but it seems like TAA is only able to play a very specific role and doesn't do well with change.
Still, England has a plethora of top RBs, with Kyle Walker (OVR 85) and Kieran Trippier (OVR 83) both in the squad, and probable first-choice Reece James missing out due to injury.
Legendary Lions
With a semi-final appearance at the last World Cup and an appearance in the final at Euro 2020, England's young stars have been treating the nation in recent years.
Some players take their game to an extra level when on national duty, with Harry Kane (OVR 90), Raheem Sterling (OVR 88) and Jordan Pickford (OVR 83) some of the team with better World Cup ratings than on the base game.
Much debate has gone on around Harry Maguire's inclusion in the WC squad, but there is no denying he has always performed for England in big tournaments.
He had a massive rating cut from 84 OVR in FIFA 22 to 81 OVR in FIFA 23, but he sees that rise slightly to 82 OVR in the WC mode.
