Crystal Palace have been going steadily in the Premier League for a good few years now and Patrick Viera has done a great job bringing young, exciting talent to the side.
However, success still eludes the Eagles and there is still lots of work to do to get near to competing with the best clubs in the English top flight.
So, we're providing you with all the tools to be successful as the Crystal Palace manager in FIFA 23 Career Mode.
Team Rating
Crystal Palace has a four-star rating in FIFA 23.
The breakdown of the ratings is as follows: ATT 77, MID 75, DEF 76.
Starting Lineup and Formation
The Eagles set up in the 4-3-3 holding formation by default in FIFA 23 as this is the system Crystal Palace tend to use in real life.
We wouldn't stray too far from this set-up as it allows the team to be defensively stable whilst posing an attacking threat, but you can switch to the attacking variation if you wish to use a traditional number 10.
French striker Odsonne Edouard spearheads the attacking trio and is supported by wingers Wilfried Zaha and Jordan Ayew.
Cheick Doucoure anchors the midfield three with the exciting Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise operating just in the more creative number eight roles.
In the full-back positions, we've gone for Tyrick Mitchell and Nathaniel Clyne, whilst Chris Richards partners Marc Guehi in the heart of the defence.
35-year-old Spanish GK Vicente Guaita is the man between the sticks.
Tactics and Instructions
Odsonne Edouard is the main goalscorer in the side, so we want to give him every chance at getting a sight of goal.
In order to do this, instruct the number nine to Stay Forward, Stay Central and Get In Behind.
Both full-backs, Tyrick Mitchell and Nathaniel Clyne have theirlimitations going forward, so instruct the wing-backs to Stay Back While Attacking and leave the creative stuff to the forwards.
You'll want your defensive midfielder, Cheick Doucoure to break everything up in the midfield. Setting him on Cover Centre and Stay Back While Attacking will give him the best chance to do so.
Training
This Palace squad holds a number of players who have plenty of room for growth in FIFA 23 Career Mode.
You should focus on developing big centre-half Marc Guehi (POT 86) as he can become a truly world-class defender in the years to come.
Central midfielders Eberechi Eze (POT 81) and Michael Olise (POT 83) can develop into a top midfield duo with just a couple of seasons of training.
You should also make sure to train promising youngsters Tyrick Mitchell (POT83) and Chris Richards (POT 82) as they can grow into quality defenders.
Transfer Market
Starting budget: £42.37 million
Who should go?
The Eagles squad currently has a number of ageing pros who can be sold in order to generate funds for future signings.
The likes of James Tompkins (OVR 72), Luka Milivojevic (OVR 74), Joel Ward (OVR 74) and James McArthur (OVR 75) can all be sold.
The sales of these four players combined will increase the transfer budget by roughly £9 million.
Despite possessing real quality in real life, centre-half Joachim Andersen (OVR 77) just doesn't fit the meta in FIFA 23.
The 26-year-old Denmark international can be sold for around £15 million.
Jean-Philippe Mateta (OVR 76) is in a similar boat. The sale of the French striker can generate a further £10 million for future sales.
The following youngsters can also be sold as their potential rating is not high enough in FIFA 23 to challenge for a first-team spot:
Killian Phillips, Tayo Adaramola, Nathan Ferguson
Loans
Crystal Palace has a number of players who would benefit from getting regular minutes elsewhere.
18-year-old Malcolm Ebiowei (POT 78) can grow by a whopping 13 overall points. A loan for the English winger would do him the world of good.
Teenagers Joe Whitworth (POT 76), Victor Akinwale (POT 76) and Jack Wells-Morrison (POT 77) all need loan spells in order to fast-track their development too.
Who to Sign
New transfer budget: £77.37 million
Top-Class Winger
The clear weakness in the Crystal Palace lineup lies with the right-winger, Jordan Ayew. Barcelona's Ousmane Dembele (OVR 83) is the perfect candidate to replace the ageing forward.
The French attacker can play across the front line and boasts five-star skill moves and a five-star weak foot.
The exciting 25-year-old will instantly be one of the best players in the squad and can develop into an 86 OVR card in FIFA 23 Career Mode.

Board Expectations
The most important target to focus on as Palace manager are the Financial expectations, which are of a high priority.
You don't need to worry too much about the three low-priority expectations - Youth Development, Brand Exposure and Domestic Success.
You are not in any European competitions, so Continental Success is not to be worried about, thus being a very low priority.
