The Showdown Series has hit FIFA 23 Ultimate Team in style, with EA kicking off proceedings with a Madrid Showdown special!
The first Showdown SBC matches Real Madrid up against local rivals Atletico ahead of their La Liga clash on Saturday evening.
Spain international Dani Ceballos and Argentinian World Cup winner Nahuel Molina are the players who have been selected this time around.
Both La Liga stars have seen their ratings bumped up to 87 OVR in Ultimate Team, with the potential for future upgrades, of course.

Who to pick
When deciding which SBC to complete, it's important you understand exactly how the Shwodown upgrades work.
For the team that wins the fixture, the corresponding Showdown SBC card in-game will receive a +2 OVR upgrade, further boosting the card to new heights, while the card from the team that lost will remain the same rating.
If the fixture results in a draw, then both cards will receive a +1 OVR upgrade.
Real Madrid are the clear favourites, currently sitting two places above Atleti in the league table in 2nd and playing at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
However, Atletico Madrid are in great form in the league at the moment, having won four out of their last five matches.
Both cards have the potential to be top-tier should they receive a +2 OVR boost. So, this one is down to you. If one of these cards fits into your team then we'd recommend backing them to win on Saturday.
