We all love to create and score goals, which is why this list of FIFA 23 best young CAMs is so important. Central attacking midfielders need to be creative on the ball but also have the ability to score themselves.
Their presence in the middle of the attacking third makes them pivotal players when it comes to retaining possession and creating opportunities to score. With EA Sports FC and another transfer window on the way, we are likely to see a lot of young creative players on the move, but who could you sign in FIFA 23 career mode? Let's see!

FIFA 23 best young CAMs to sign in Career Mode
To be eligible for this list players must have their primary position as CAM. They can be equally proficient at a wing or CM spot, but they must have CAM as their best.
Secondly, we are looking for players aged between 20 and 24. Anyone younger than this fits into our wonderkid CAM list, while anyone older than that will have aged out.
This list is compiled by us, with consideration given to a player's ability right now and also their potential. Feel free to disagree but we believe these are the best young CAMs you could sign in FIFA 23!
Christopher Nkunku (OVR 86 - POT 89)
Team: RB Leipzig
Age: 24
Nation: France
Christopher Nkunku came up through PSG's academy but got his big break with a move to RB Leipzig in 2019. There he flashed the kind of creative scoring ability that will get you noticed by the biggest teams in the world. He has a £63 million move to Chelsea lined up for 2023, but you can still grab him from Leipzig in FIFA 23.
Nkunku starts FIFA 23 with 90 balance, 89 dribbling, 88 agility, 86 finishing, and 85 sprint speed to be a nightmare for defenders. He is natural at CAM but very comfortable on either wing as well. He's good decent passing stats to be a ball-mover, but he is best used as a direct threat, breaking lines and pushing toward goal.
Martin Odegaard (OVR 85 - POT 89)
Team: Arsenal
Age: 23
Nation: Norway
Martin Odegaard was the very definition of a wonderkid, getting a move from his home club of Stromsgodset where he debuted at 15, to Real Madrid when he was just 17. It didn't really work for him there, but a January 2021 loan to Arsenal reignited his talent and after joining the Gunners permanently that summer he quickly became vital to the club's success and is now club captain.
Odegaard is the archetypical #10 in FIFA 23. He's got 89 short passing, 89 vision, 87 ball control, and 86 dribbling to be a creative dynamo in the middle of the park.
Kai Havertz (OVR 83 - POT 89)
Team: Chelsea
Age: 23
Nation: Germany
Kai Havertz is a Chelsea legend already, scoring the only goal in the 2021 Champions League final to give the team an unexpected UCL title. However, he's falling out of favour with the club as their inability to score is putting every forward under a harsh spotlight.
In FIFA 23, you don't have to worry about Chelsea's crumbling internal cohesion. Instead, you can enjoy Havertz's 85 sprint speed, 85 ball control, 85 dribbling, and 83 short passing. While best deployed as a CAM, you can slot him in comfortably on either wing too.
Dani Olmo (OVR 82 - POT 87)
Team: RB Leipzig
Age: 24
Nation: Spain
Dani Olmo is another player who had to depart a big club to get the playing time to really show off his brilliance. Olmo joined Barcelona's academy at the age of nine, but made a surprising move to Dinamo Zagreb at the age of 16, where he quickly showed off his skill. A 2020 move to RB Leipzig was a big step up but Olmo has been more than capable and is now a regular in the Spanish national team.
In FIFA 23, Olmo is a dribbly player that can play CAM or either wing spot. His 86 balance, 86 agility, 86 ball control and 86 dribbling show he can take on defenders, but his 84 short passing is good enough to keep possession moving too.
Mason Mount (OVR 82 - POT 85)
Team: Chelsea
Age: 23
Nation: England
Mason Mount is a Chelsea product through and through, but like the others on this list he could have departed to get game time, and probably would have were it not for Chelsea's two-window transfer ban that forced more reliance on young players. He's never really looked back from there, but with the club in turmoil and his contract up at the end of 2024 he could be on the move.
In FIFA 23 Mount is a solid player that can do a bit of everything. He's got 84 stamina, 84 reactions, 84 short passing, 83 ball control, and 82 dribbling. He can put a cross in and deliver a freekick, but also has 80 positioning and high/high work rate to be a presser too.
