EA has kicked off Ratings Week in style by revealing the FIFA 23 Ambassador ratings, followed by the top 23 highest-rated cards in the entire game.
This year is slightly strange as five, yes FIVE players will share the honours of the highest-rated card in FIFA.
These players are Kylian Mbappe, Kevin de Bruyne, Robert Lewandowski, Karim Benzema and Lionel Messi.
So, the question on everybody's lips is who is the outright best player in FIFA 23? Well, we've got you covered.
Take a look at the five best cards in FIFA 23 with a breakdown of their abilities below.
Lewandowski Robbed
Before we get into the breakdown of FIFA 23's five highest-rated card stats, we simply have to discuss EA's unwarranted downgrade of Robert Lewandowski.
Fans of the Polish striker have been left bemused at why Robert Lewandowski is not the highest-rated player in the game.
Last year, the Bayern Munich number nine was rated as a 92 OVR. Lewandowksi then went on to net 50, yes FIFTY goals and a further seven assists in 46 appearances across all competitions.
Since the goal machine arrived in Barcelona, he has nine goals and two assists to his name in just six matches in all competitions.
So, on which planet does Lewandowski deserve a downgrade ahead of the release of FIFA 23? We can't quite figure this one out.
The 34-year-old has established himself as the best striker in world football and deserves to be recognised as such in FIFA 23.
Best Card in the ENTIRE Game
As far as the best FIFA 23 card in-game goes, there's only one winner.
PSG's world-class forward Kylian Mbappe will undoubtedly be the most overpowered Gold card in the entire game.
The France international's fresh card boasts incredible stats for an ST, with 97 pace, 92 dribbling and 89 shooting.
The 23-year-old will surely retain his five-star skill moves from FIFA 22 and is the definition of a 'meta' card in Ultimate Team.
World Class Ballers
Kevin de Bruyne, Karim Benzema and Lionel Messi all join Mbappe and Lewandowski as the highest-rated players in the game, with 91 OVR cards.
Manchester City's Belgian midfield maestro Kevin de Bruyne has proven time and time again that he is the best midfielder in world football.
KDB's FIFA 23 card boasts an incredible 93 passing and rightly so.
Elite French forward Karim Benzema showed the world just how good he is during Real Madrid's UEFA Champions League-winning campaign in 2021/22.
The 34-year-old's FIFA 23 card is let down by 80 pace, though we are sure Benzema will accumulate several boosted special cards throughout the season.
Last but by no means least is the GOAT, Lionel Messi. EA has given the Argentinian legend a -2 downgrade, taking him to a 91 OVR in FIFA 23.
The PSG winger's card is still unbelievable in FIFA, possessing 94 dribbling, 90 passing and 89 shooting.
