The January transfer window is officially closed and once again, the 20 clubs in the Premier League dominated the market this winter.
Late moves from Chelsea and other PL clubs, including a British record £107m move for Argentina midfielder Enzo Fernandez, brought the overall spending from the English top flight to north of £700 million.
EA has already begun to implement the changes from real-world football into FIFA 23 by adding a whole host of cards into Ultimate Team, with players now representing their new clubs.
One of which is the most famous footballer on the planet... CR7.
Cristiano Ronaldo -> Al-Nassr FC
In what was the most talked about transfer of the January window, Al Nassr signed former Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo on a free transfer.
The 37-year-old has signed a contract believed to be worth around £200 million a season.
Despite the poor chemistry links, the Portuguese legend's new card is currently selling for double his Man United version in FUT 23, at 160,000 coins (PS & Xbox).
Cody Gakpo -> Liverpool
Liverpool had not planned to sign a forward in January, but injuries to Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz coupled with interest from rivals prompted the club to accelerate their interest in Dutch winger Cody Gakpo.
The Reds are understood to have paid between £35m and £45m for one of the stars of the 2022 World Cup.
Now providing and receiving Premier League links, Cody Gakpo's next special item in FUT will no doubt get FIFA fans excited.
Benoit Badiashile -> Chelsea
Many have compared Todd Boehly's transfer strategy to playing Career Mode, and they wouldn't be far wrong.
The Blues secured the signature of French centre-half Benoit Badiashile from AS Monaco for a deal said to be worth around £35 million.
The 21-year-old doesn't have the best card in this year's game, but we expect him to become a popular player in editions to come.
Matheus Cunha -> Wolves
Wolves' goal-scoring woes have continued into the 2022/23 season, having scored the fewest goals of any Premier League club with just 12 so far.
The club has turned to Atletico Madrid and Brazil forward Matheus Cunha in the hope he can spark some attacking inspiration.
The 23-year-old has joined on an initial loan move with an obligation to buy at the end of the season for a fee that could rise to £35m.
