It is a busy time of year in the FIFA 22 Ultimate Team calendar, but things will begin to get back to normal as Team of the Year winds to a close.

EA has confirmed that Future Stars will be the next event in FUT 22, but another promo could make an appearance soon as a Winter Refresh beckons.

Take a look at what you can expect to see from a Winter Refresh in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team below.

Latest - Deadline Day

Will he stay or will he go? That can be applied to several players on transfer deadline day, but it appears the most fitting for Jesse Lingard and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Both have been deemed surplus to requirements at their clubs, but with the clock ticking, can the clubs involved get the deals over the line?

PREMATURE - Auba has flown to Spain without the clubs agreeing a deal

Newcastle and West Ham are the two sides fighting for Lingard's signature, while reports are suggesting Auba has already flown to Barcelona for a medical.

Elsewhere, new Everton boss Frank Lampard is getting to work straight away as he looks to bring in Dele Alli and Donny van de Beek!

Release Date

We have confirmation that Future Stars will begin on Friday, 4 February, and run for two weeks, ending on Friday, 18 February.

This means we could see a Winter Refresh arrive on that date, or possibly a European Road to the Finals event like we have seen in the past.

Winter Refresh

We did not see a Winter Refresh in FIFA 21 Ultimate Team, but we would love to see the promo return in FUT 22.

A Winter Refresh event could see some of January’s top transfers celebrated, as well as rewarding players who deserve upgrades.

BIG BOOSTS - A blend of signings and underrated stars made up the squad in FIFA 20

The January window has remained relatively quiet so far, although Philippe Coutinho’s arrival at Aston Villa came as a bit of a surprise!

Winter upgrades are certainly something we would like to see though, and special boosted cards for the top underrated performers this season would be fantastic!

Top Transfers

Doing business in January is never easy as clubs are less willing to part with their key players halfway through the season.

This window began quietly, although some notable signings have been made that could make for an exciting promo squad.

SUPER SIGNING - Coutinho could be one of the signings of the season

Philippe Coutinho joining Aston Villa on loan could mean a terrific new special card, while Ferran Torres returning to Spain with Barcelona would be another attacking option.

French winger Jonathan Ikone has signed for Fiorentina for a fee of around £12 million, and he could offer another hybrid squad option in a French-dominated FUT 22.

PACE AND PRECISION - Ikone is an exciting new FUT option in Serie A

England international Kieran Trippier returning to the Premier League looks like an excellent signing for Newcastle, although his debut in the 1-0 loss to Cambridge was surely not what he had in mind!

After the slow start though things have picked up, with the likes of Dusan Vlahovic, Ferran Torres, and Luis Diaz all making high-profile switches late in the window.

SHARP SHOOTER - Martial will be hoping to rediscover his form in Spain

One player for FUT fans to look out for is Anthony Martial, as his pace and French chemistry links could make him a prime candidate for a Winter Refresh now he has joined Sevilla.

Returning Barcelona academy product Adama Traore is also a hot prospect as we are all aware of his blistering pace too.

Upgrades

It is not winter transfers that could be recognised in a FIFA 22 Winter Refresh, with some of the top-performing but lesser-rated stars also being celebrated.

Crystal Palace midfielder Conor Gallagher would be a prime example as his 74 OVR does not do his six goals and three assists this season justice!

TOP DRAWER - Gallagher has been sensational for the Eagles

West Ham's Jarrod Bowen is another English star who will likely see his FIFA rating increase next season, and his form in 2021/22 has attracted interest from Liverpool!

We all know about Dusan Vlahovic by now, but his 80 OVR is still far too low for the top scorer in Serie A as he boasts 16 goals in just 19 matches.
