FIFA 22 Ultimate Team has offered us many promos so far, both new releases and old favourites, but we could be in for another unusual event.
The coronavirus pandemic has been affecting everyone around the world, and just when it looked like we were getting out of it a new strand has hit back.
FIFA 20 brought in a new version of Team of the Season, which we could see make a comeback in FIFA 22.
With recent matches being cancelled because of positive tests within the teams, we're taking a look at who could make the Premier League TOTSSF - IF the season were to be delayed.
What is TOTSSF?
Team of the Season So Far (TOTSSF) was a promo that was released instead of the usual Team of the Season in FIFA 20.
Due to restrictions from the pandemic with matches being cancelled and seasons being delayed, the footballing calendar was knocked off balance, meaning the season wouldn't finish at the regular time.
So Ultimate Team players could still enjoy the top cards brought in from the regular event, EA changed the name slightly, and gave the community what they wanted!
Aaron Ramsdale
A year ago you would have been laughed at if you were to suggest Aaron Ramsdale would be anywhere near a Team of the... award.
Since his move to Arsenal, the goalkeeper has found new confidence which has produced top performances and has also seen Leno sidelined.
He may not pick up the Golden Glove, but he has been a standout between the sticks.
Trent Alexander-Arnold
There should never be any doubt around Trent Alexander-Arnold's abilities, the guy is insane when he is on the ball.
Defensively he may not be the strongest, which is why he doesn't get much time in the England team, however, you are unlikely to find a more threatening full-back in world football.
Antonio Rudiger
When Thomas Tuchel took over at Chelsea he turned them into a formidable club, winning the Champions League against heavy favourites Manchester City.
Antonio Rudiger is one of the players to have improved massively under new tutelage, becoming a transfer target for some of the biggest clubs around.
Not just defensively solid, Rudiger has the confidence and ability to step up into midfield and impact play further up the field.
Ruben Dias
Just like Virgil van Dijk at Liverpool, Ruben Dias walked into the Manchester City defence and transformed it.
Now one of the most miserly around, City concedes the fewest chances in the league, marshalled by the Portuguese powerhouse.
Joao Cancelo
City teammate Joao Cancelo has reinvented the full-back role, with the freedom to roam the park and impact play everywhere.
Often you could mistake him for a CAM, with his brilliant passing range and shooting ability, and he is now a staple in the City team.
Declan Rice
West Ham are having their best run in years, with Declan Rice pushing the team to great heights.
He may not make all the headlines - as most CDMs don't - but the cover he gives the defence is brilliant, reading the game well and driving the side up the field.
Bernardo Silva
It looked like Bernardo Silva was going to be on his way out, unhappy with the amount of game time he was getting.
Now, he is undroppable, running things in the middle of the field when City needed it most with Kevin De Bruyne out injured.
Was this a Pep managerial master plan?
Conor Gallagher
Conor Gallagher has come out of nowhere but has been putting in standout performances for Crystal Palace on his loan spell from Chelsea.
Youth players have found it hard to break into the first team, yet Gallagher is making a real statement to be included next season.
Mohamed Salah
Is there any better player in the world at this time than Mohamed Salah? - we don't think so.
He is a phenomenon, scoring bundles of goals and popping up with assists too - he is currently top on both stats.
Will Liverpool be able to cope without him when he's at the Africa Cup of Nations?
Diogo Jota
When Diogo Jota moved to Liverpool many thought it an impossible task for him to break into their flying-front-three, but Jota has done just that.
Now the prefered choice ahead of Firmino, if you give Jota a chance, he's likely to take it and is only behind Salah on league goals.
Heung min Son
Tottenham have had a bit of a mixed season, but are currently unbeaten in the league under Conte.
Harry Kane may not have his shooting boots on, but Heung min Son is still doing it for the team, with 11 goal involvements in 16 games this season.
