EA has added more new content into FIFA 22 Ultimate Team, this time in the form of new types of Squad Building Challenges.
With the Team of the Year event currently running in FUT 22, these new challenge types could come into play very soon.
Repeatable challenges are not new to the game, but these new types will offer something slightly different and likely more valuable.
Brand-new SBCs
Two new SBC types have been revealed by EA and they will be added to Ultimate Team.
Acknowledged in the FUT 22 Mobile & Companion App, EA is set to introduce 'Limited Repeatable' and 'Refreshed' SBCs to the game.
Both new SBC types should introduce new ways of completing Squad Building Challenges and earning rewards to bolster your club.
Keep an eye out for these arriving in the game sooner rather than later.
Limited Repeatable SBC
The first new SBC type is called a 'Limited Repeatable' SBC, and it seems to be quite straightforward in what it is.
Added a new type of Squad Building Challenge called Limited Repeatbale SBC. Limited Repeatable SBCs have a set number of repeats available.
This SBC type will be activated through a Server Release in the future, and the Web/Companion App UI will reflect which future SBCs can be repeated after a certain amount of time.
You can currently do SBCs once or unlimited times, so this will introduce a set number of opportunities to complete the challenge.
Certain SBCs such as ceratin upgrade packs seem like the prime candidates for this new type of SBC.
Refreshed SBC
The second new type of SBC is slightly different, and looks like it is an attempt from EA to stop players from stacking higher-value repeatable SBCs!
Added a new type of Squad Building Challenge called Refreshed SBC. Refreshed SBCs have a set number of completions available over a set period of time.
The number of repeat completions does not add up between refresh periods.
For example, if an SBC allowed for 3 completions per 24 hours but is only completed once, it will refresh to three possible completions when the timer resets.
This SBC type will be activated through a Server Release in the future, and the Web/Companion App UI will reflect which future SBCs can be repeated after a certain amount of time.
On the face of it, both new SBC types look to be adding more opportunities for the completion of higher-value SBCs, without offering unlimited repeatability.
How this plays out remains to be seen, but the signs are promising!
