Season 5 is nearly upon us in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team, meaning plenty more packs and rewards will become available.

The new season could also see a brand-new promo event introduced into the game, but more on that later.

We are expecting EA to continue their trend of minor league players being included in the Storyline Player picks, so keep an eye out for the new players next week!

Release Date

The official start date of Season 5 will be Thursday, 17 March, bringing an end to Season 4 which has brought us so much excellent content.

The changing of seasons will arrive at the new time of 4am ET / 8am GMT which is now the norm in FIFA 22.

EA Play members will receive an XP boost at the start of the season too, helping you ease through those early levels.

Objectives

Every new season in FIFA Ultimate Team sees new objectives to work towards, and new rewards to unlock along the way.

There are 30 levels to work through, with each level offering a unique reward to help you improve your club.

Expect to see packs, vanity items, and Storyline Player Picks once again as EA has largely kept the same Season rewards as FIFA 21.

We also hope for more League Objective players to be released to keep the Live FUT Friendly: Managerial Masterpiece relevant.

Storyline Players

One thing we can almost guarantee is that we will see a new selection of Storyline Player Picks at LVL 15 and LVL 30, but which leagues will be on offer?

The MLS will likely be represented, and we expect full-backs to be the order of the day, with Inter Miami pair Kieran Gibbs and DeAndre Yedlin possible candidates.

Another league that has been popular this season is the Dutch Eredivisie, and once again we could see a new left-back made available, or possibly a new striker!

Liga NOS will likely have at least one option among the six players on offer, and we think EA will opt for a new Championship option too.

Promo events

We have seen some of EA’s classic promo events recently, and we are currently in the middle of celebrating the 13th anniversary of Ultimate Team with the FUT Birthday event!

The What If promo has been heavily linked for a return after its introduction to the game last season.

One brand-new event that has been ‘leaked’ involves the new FUT Heroes cards, with a ‘FUT Captains’ promo set to arrive in the game.

Leaks have suggested that the hero players will receive FUT Heroes Moments items, giving them a much-needed refresh in this year’s game.
