FIFA 22 Ratings Update: Liverpool star receives HUGE upgrade to 90 OVR

The latest FIFA 22 ratings update has just gone live, and EA has made some BIG calls this week.

We've compiled all the main upgrades and downgrades that are now live in the latest version of the FIFA 22 squads right here.

Upgrades

The following players have seen their overall rating upgraded in the FIFA 22 database.

Mohamed Salah (OVR 89 - OVR 90)

Liverpool's Egyptian King, Mohamed Salah, has proven time and time again that he is world-class, which is why we were so shocked that he had been downgraded since FIFA 21!

EA has now rectified the mistake by making Mo Salah a 90 OVR player once again in FIFA 22, joining the likes of Ronaldo, Messi, Lewandowski and Neymar in the 90 club.

Ruben Dias (OVR 87 - OVR 88)

Manchester City and Portugal star Ruben Dias has barely put a foot wrong since arriving in England, and has established himself as one of the best central defenders in world football.

EA has rewarded Dias with a +1 OVR boost, taking him to an 88 OVR card in FIFA 22.

Youri Tielemans (OVR 84 - OVR 85)

We all remember Youri Tielemans from FIFA 18 Career Mode, being one of the highest-potential players in the game at that time, but now he's starting to show his quality for real!

The Leicester midfielder is quickly becoming one of their most important players, and has recently added goals to his game too!

Nicolo Barella (OVR 84 - OVR 85)

Nicolo Barella caught the eye of many at Euro 2020 and has continued to deliver consistently for Inter since returning from international duty.

Barela has been upgraded to an 85 OVR in FIFA 22, and if his card is anything like his in-form in Ultimate Team, it will be absolutely brilliant!

Edouard Mendy (OVR 83 - OVR 84)

Edouard Mendy is without a doubt one of the best shot-stoppers in world football, but he also brings a calming presence to the Chelsea defence.

The Senegalese international has been upgraded to an 84 OVR in FIFA 22 but we think he should be even higher than this.

Downgrades

The following players have seen their overall rating drop in the latest FIFA 22 update.

Raheem Sterling (OVR 88 - OVR 87)

Raheem Sterling has struggled to re-find his form of Euro 2020 since returning to Premier League action this season.

England teammates Jack Grealish and Phil Foden seem to be ahead of him in Pep Guardiola's pecking order for the left-wing role for Manchester City.

Lucas Digne (OVR 84 - OVR 83)

Here's another rating that EA may have gotten wrong at the start of FIFA 22 - Lucas Digne.

Digne is a quality player but an 84 OVR did seem a little high for the Everton left-back, so we think an 83 rating is more appropriate.

Kostas Manolas (OVR 83 - OVR 82)

Kostas Manolas is well known in the FIFA community for being one of the most overpowered centre-backs in Serie A, with his blistering speed.

But, it's not good news for the Greek international who has received a downgrade to an 82 OVR in FIFA 22.

Bernd Leno (OVR 83 - OVR 82)

Bernd Leno has struggled for game time since Aaron Ramsdale arrived at Arsenal this season, hence his downgrade.

There's no questioning Leno's quality, but Ramsdale's performances have been so good that he simply can't compete with the Englishman at the moment.

Sergio Asenjo (OVR 83 - OVR 82)

Sergio Asenjo is the next 'keeper to be downgraded in the latest update.

EA has dropped the Villarreal goalkeeper's rating by one, taking him to an 82 OVR in FIFA 22, which is still definitely useable.
