Inter Milan proved surprise winners of Serie A last season, with Piemonte Calcio stuttering to fourth.
A new, exclusive deal between EA and Serie A will see more authentic teams in FIFA 22, with the impact felt in Ultimate Team too.
See who makes up the best Serie A players below.
Latest news - Serie A top squad
Coming in at the same time as the top 100 announcement, the best Serie A team may have slipped under the radar for some.
It looks like the worst league for overall ratings, but a couple of gems like Theo Hernandez and Franck Kessie will certainly catch the eye.
The trailer announcement for EA's exclusive deal with Serie A also showed some player ratings if you looked hard enough!
You can see the ones we managed to spot below:
- Marko Arnautovic (OVR 81)
- Joao Pedro (OVR 80)
- Gerard Deulofeu (OVR 79)
- Dusan Vlahovic (OVR 78)
- Andrea Belotti (OVR 81)
- Antonin Barak (OVR 78)
- Leonardo Mancuso (OVR 72)
- Domenico Berardi (OVR 82)
- Nicolo Barella (OVR 84)
- Goran Pandev (OVR 74)
Paulo Dybala (OVR 87)
With just four goals last season, Paulo Dybala was not going to maintain his high rating of 88 OVR.
There is no doubting his ability, but we need to see that converted into goals and assists.
Wojciech Szczesny (OVR 87)
A fourth-place finish is simply not what is expected in Turin, so many of Piemonte Calcio's stars were under threat when the ratings came out.
Polish keeper Wojciech Szczesny managed to dodge a downgrade, making him the best keeper in the league.
Ciro Immobile (OVR 87)
Another prolific season for Ciro Immobile was enough to see him maintain his 87 OVR.
The Italian striker scored 20 Serie A goals, but it was not enough as Lazio missed out on Champions League qualification.
Lorenzo Insigne (OVR 86)
Lorenzo Insigne was in hot form last season, scoring 19 and assisting 11 for Napoli.
He was a key figure for Italy as they won Euro 2020, and popping up with two goals will have helped cement his +1 increase.
Milan Skrniar (OVR 86)
Keeping hold of his increased rating through squad updates, Milan Skrniar could be one of FIFA 22's most popular centre-backs.
The Slovakian star is mobile, strong, and defensively solid. What more could you ask for?
Samir Handanovic (OVR 86)
What we said:
"Inter Milan boasted the best defensive record in the league on their way to the title, so goalkeeper Samir Handanovic should remain one of the best GKs in the game."
What EA did:
-2
Winning the title and Golden Glove means nothing apparently.
Kalidou Koulibaly (OVR 86)
Senegal centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly saw his 88 OVR drop in FIFA 22.
Napoli missed out on Champions League football, but Koulibaly will still be among the best players in the league.
Giorgio Chiellini (OVR 86)
Italian veteran Giorgio Chiellini is one of the Piemonte Calcio stars set to take a hit to their attributes.
While he will still be a solid defender, he is not getting any younger and a decline is imminent, despite helping Italy in the Euros.Stefan de Vrij (OVR 85)
Stefan de Vrij (OVR 85)
A mainstay in defence, De Vrij kept hold of his previous rating.
An all-round solid defender, he can keep most strikers in his pocket.
Despite being included in the Serie A and Ultimate Team of the Season squads, Stefan de Vrij didn't get an upgrade in FIFA 22.
Leonardo Bonucci (OVR 85)
Leonardo Bonucci partnered with his club teammate and oldest friend Giorgio Chiellini brilliantly at Euro 2020.
The veteran continues to show his class and experience when stepping onto the field for club and country.
Despite entering the final years of his career, Bonucci keeps his 85 OVR rating in FIFA 22.
Other confirmed ratings:
- Lautaro Martinez (OVR 85)
- Sergej Milinkovic-Savic (OVR 85)
- Matthijs de Ligt (OVR 85)
- Nicolo Barella (OVR 84)
- Theo Hernandez (OVR 84)
- Franck Yannick Kessie (OVR 84)
- Marcelo Brozovic (OVR 84)
- Zlatan Ibrahimovic (OVR 84)
- Mike Maignan (OVR 84)
- Luis Alberto (OVR 84)
- Josip Ilicic (OVR 84)
- Dries Mertens (OVR 84)
- Federico Chiesa (OVR 83)
- Edin Dzeko (OVR 83)
